My son, accept my words and store up my commands... The main understanding connected to this exhortatory truth is this: "The point of such expression is usually to establish one's confidence in embracing the Word of the Lord than just assuming that it has been accepted, without an affirmation involved. More below!

Reference: Proverbs 2:1-6 Common English Bible (CEB)
"My son, accept my words and store up my commands."
Many of us have gone past the level of being encouraged to accept the words and commands from God because we have not only accepted the incarnate Word, the Christ Jesus, as personal Lord and Saviour, we have also accepted His teachings and have developed a strong belief system based on His Word, which implies a substantial commitment to our accepted claim. Accepting the Word involves a profound certainty in the form of being sure about it's efficacy. So from a personal perspective, I don't just accept and believe, I observe the declarative and participatory knowledge, which denotes a stronger sense of acceptance. Are you with me?
The "Word" acceptance is foundational to receiving spiritual impartation, leading to accurate insight into divine reasoning and realities, which is understood to be an exceptional capability of the recreated human spirit. So humbly accepting the word God has planted in our hearts, and doing what it says, are quite indicative of where a stronger form of belief is involved (see James 1:21-22 NLT). Why must you do what the Word says? Not doing the Word is an inactive expression that seems to violate the principle of accepting God's words and commands. But evidentially, doing the Word is a hugely accepted feature of practical knowledge. It implies that, while it is possible to accept the Word as true, one cannot experience the truth embedded in it only by evoked acceptance. So therefore, doing the Word is a greater proof that your acceptance is true and justified. Got it?
Job 11:7-9 reads:
"Can you fathom or search out the deep things of God or discover the limits of the Almighty? His wisdom and knowledge are higher than the heavens—what can you do? They are deeper than Sheol—what can you know? Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea" (NKJV).
In line with this Scriptural truth, an often-discussed belief in a dialogue between my humble self and my friend is that - some Scriptural truths have an endless tunnel, which characterizes unfathomable divine knowledge as a justified system of God's depths. Are you with me? God's uncommon knowledge is far higher than anyone can ever fathom or imagine, far deeper than we can comprehend. In other words, you can never discover everything about the Almighty, and His words - plus commands, especially on a surface level, or just as it is written, because His divine thoughts can stretch farther than earth's horizons, far wider than the endless ocean.
This is the reason you can notice that the context of our referenced Scripture reads:
"My child, if you receive my words, and store up my commands inside yourself, by making your ear attentive to wisdom, and by turning your heart to understanding, indeed, if you call out for discernment shout loudly for understanding if you seek it like silver, and search for it like hidden treasure...." (Proverbs 2:1-4 NET).
In the above aforementioned versified passage, the very end of verse four suggests that wisdom is like a "hidden treasure" within God's words which can be sought and searched out, by an act of faith grounded in the notion of obtaining uncommon revelation knowledge through a reliable process inspired by the influence of the Spirit of truth, which is far from any observatory intelligence based on sensory perception or logical reasoning.
It is an unusual ability to locate deeper level of reality by engaging the profundity of the Spirit's influence, often in a thorough or persistent way. And it implies a deliberate and focused effort to discover a hidden treasurable wisdom, difficult to trace by the ordinary mind or human understanding. Stay tuned for part 9. Shalom!
