GRACE OF GOD REVEALED

Updated: Apr 16

SUNDAY 13 APRIL 2025

Grace is the generous kindness and love of God at work on earth - which was revealed to mankind through Christ. And today, we are going to take heed of Pauline persuasions and emphasis on steadfastness in the revelation of the doctrine that leads to liberty through the gospel of grace. More below!

Reference: Titus 2:11 New Living Translation (NLT)"For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people."

In his pastoral epistle to Titus, known as "Pros Titon", apostle Paul stresses the importance of sharing the concept of eternal truth which is proper for the sound doctrine of God's grace. He reveals that the grace of God is the gift of God which man can receive by faith in Christ. It brings salvation to all who place their faith in Christ and it delivers the blessedness of hope and righteousness made available to all in Christ.

Why faith in Christ? Firstly, faith in Christ is specifically important because Christ saves all men who demonstrate faith in Him as their only Saviour. Secondly, Christ is the only person that brought grace to mankind. No other person but Christ. In other words, God's grace has not been revealed through many forms and several people. Therefore its of paramount importance that any human being who will come to God must activate and declare their faith in Christ and thereby, acknowledge Him as the only true Saviour and Lord. Consequently, the "faith" evidence in only One (the Lord Jesus Christ) is very essential in favour of receiving the salvation of God's grace.

Pauline epistolary expression numbered as 2nd Timothy 1:9-10 (NIV) reads, "God has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."

Beloved, grace was given in Christ before the beginning of time, denoting a gift prepared for us from the realm of eternity even before we existed or knew anything about it. But thanks be unto God that we have come to gain its cognizance and recognition on account of being disclosed through the bodily appearance of Christ, the Saviour of mankind.

Mindfully, its not enough to acknowledge that the revelation of grace has come; its equally vital that every soul should respond to it in order to be saved. And watch this: Nothing would ever give us more joy than this truth: Death was defeated by this very revelation of light that leads to eternal life, which is now made available to all and sundry through the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Beloved, Christ Jesus didn't just overcome death; He also unlocked the pathway of new life and immortality through the gospel of grace. Now every man alive on earth is privileged to respond to the tuition of marvellous light in the dispensation of grace, whether or not they have been been informed. To that effect, the Bible says that Christ, the One who is the true light, gives light to everyone, coming into the world (John 1:9 NLT).

Furthermore, Titus 3:4-5 reads, "But when the kindness of God our Saviour and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit" (NIV). Did you grasp that? Since grace appeared through Christ, humankind can receive salvation, not because of any good or right thing they've done.

None of us did anything powerful to deserve or merit the gift of salvation, and none of us can labour for it to earn it. It is free of charge because Christ has paid the full sacrificial price for us; Yes, its a free gift, meaning that you can come the way you are and receive. This is why salvation still remains unconditionally available under the dispensation of grace, irrespective of the lost souls who disregard it, by refusing to accept the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace is so vast in its operation, considering the truth that regardless of the nature of the sin committed by anyone who comes to Christ to receive salvation, they will be accepted in the Beloved by God. That being the case, through the Spirit and gospel of grace, we can reach out to the lost at any given time and win them for Christ, and by the quickening power of the Spirit, they can receive the righteousness of God by faith. In reference to the privilege of divine grace, Petrine epistolary expression numbered as 2nd Peter 3:8 (NIV) stated:

"The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient, with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance."

Moreover, if you are reading this and you are not yet born again, please do not let this truth escape your notice: There is a coming judgement for those who reject Christ in their lifetime and surely, the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. Therefore do not delay in accepting the free gift of grace and salvation revealed in Christ because just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once, after that [comes certain] judgment (Hebrews 9:27 AMP). Manifestly, to receive salvation in Christ and make Him your Lord, kindly declare the prayer of salvation at the extreme end of this article. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Titus 3:7; Acts 14:3; 2 Corinthians 8:9;Ephesians 2:7; Acts 20:24; Ephesians 3:7-8.

Exuberant Declaration:

I'm bountifully grateful for the grace of God which has been revealed on earth to bring salvation to all people, of which I'm a fervent beneficiary.
