Reference: Ecclesiastes 3:11 New International Version (NIV)

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

Today's article is majored on the final segmentary statement:

"Yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

In accordance with this segment, it means that that knowledge of eternity is deep. It is a mystery, and in revelational truth, God's statement here refers to His mystery, namely Christ. Remember that when "yet" starts a sentence, it typically introduces a contrasting or contradictory idea to what was previously mentioned.

In a nutshell, "yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end" is denotative of Christ Himself. He is God's mysterious standard that cannot be fathomed by natural man from beginning to end. The New Living Translation of Revelation 22:13 rendered His description in this manner: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

Christ is a high-impact mystery the God of Hosts, who is supremely Omnipotent, and whose purposes overrule all, shall bring His kingdom to earth at the fullness of time (Galatians 4:4 ESV). In continuity of the process, Apostle Paul said, "I have become the church's servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord's people" (Colossians 1:26 NIV). Now what is the end purpose of presenting this mystery to the church? It is found in Colossians 2:2 where apostle Paul stated:

"My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ" (NIV).

The eternity God planted in the heart is accessed and activated by the Holy Ghost, a sure means of living the spiritual life, stirring up a life beyond the natural realm - with a consistent divine experience. As long as you function as a natural man, you cannot fathom, decode or interface with eternity. That's why you must receive Christ: a place where we are called and equipped to grow in complete spiritual understanding and reflect the glory of God in our daily lives.

To that effect, born again Christians are summoned to be the active participants in God's missional plan to fill the earth with the knowledge and glory of this mystery, namely Christ - through evangelism, discipleship, equipping the saints, and by living out the gospel which is a portal to eternity. Stay tuned for part 8. Shalom!
