EUPHORIA & PAEAN - PART 5
FRIDAY 20 OCTOBER 2023
As a Christian, don't ever miss any opportunity to stay euphoric in your everyday experience, because as you do so, you'll notice that you are always at your best, and thus, plentiful negative emotions such as anxiety and worries are pretty well dissipated. So euphoria, which is expressive of great cheerfulness and delight, make way for heightened presence of God, as we step up into paean, with our conscious minds registering the pleasure of being in Christ.

Reference: Ephesians 5:19 The Voice (VOICE) "When you are filled with the Spirit, you are empowered to speak to each other in the soulful words of pious songs, hymns, and spiritual songs; to sing and make music with your hearts attuned to God."
In the above Scripture, Paul did not speak of the Holy Spirit in the sense of "one" out of many options. The peculiarity of His role and personality in our lives cannot be undermined. He is the only true Spirit that empowers us to speak to each other in the soulful words of pious songs, hymns, and spiritual songs. So as we get filled with the Spirit, we are conditioned to speak and sing with our heavenly Father's authority, which denotes the demonstration of the knowledge of His will and purpose.
Another important truth about paean is that choosing the wordings of our songs of praise is of vital importance. This is the reason we should often make time for Word-enriched study sessions, which involve alacritous cogitation, so as to deepen our spiritual knowledgebase and then, attend to paean with a well-informed outlook. For instance, Colossians 3:16 reads, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (NKJV).
When we give the Word plenty of room in our lives, we become knowledgeable enough to stay mindful of every detail of the wordings embedded in our paean. By this, I mean that having a rich, accurate and complete knowledge of the Word will shape our minds to choose the right songs of praise, whose lyrics are clearly in line with the precise knowledge of Scriptural truths. On account of this, don't just sing any kind of praise and worship songs, but rather, consider the details of the wordings being expressed in the musical work, because that's being "spiritually" discerning.
James 5:13 (NCV) reads, "Anyone who is having troubles should pray. Anyone who is happy should sing praises." In this Scripture, James introduced two different versions of Christian response designed for two different states of minds, namely, a troubled mind and a happy mood. The first segment urges us to respond with prayer, when facing troubles. The latter encourages us to sing praises to God, in our state of euphoria, just like I mentioned in part 4. To be specific, I said, "When we move from just feeling euphoric to the point of praising God in the Spirit, our degree of access to exceeding great joy increases." Simply put, practise converting your "euphoric" sense of awareness to a joyful and thankful acclamation, from time to time.
Beloved, when we call on God in every trouble, He will answer. Moreover, always remember to express your love for Him by praising Him for every blessing and deliverance, as the Lord, your Strength and your Salvation. Besides, when you are excited, learn to sing your heart out to God the Father! Always put it in action, thanking Him every step of the way. Stay tuned for part 6. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Psalm 59:16; Isaiah 12:5; Psalm 63:3-4; Psalms 66:17.
Exuberant Declaration: I sing songs of praise to God, filled with the right lyrics, which are expressive of biblical truths, thereby declaring and interpreting the Father's mind to my spirit. Hallelujah!
