Reference: John 17:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
"All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so they bring me glory."
"Let your light so shine before men..." So we bring Christ glory through varying amounts of light we exude, as children of light. Bringing glory to all-powerful Godhead is a source of our comfort and hope, as it assures us of His righteous, unfailing and just character. When you reflect on how His goodness is evident in all creation, in our redemptive plan, and in our personal divine experiences, you will surely let your light so shine before men, such that Christ will be glorified in the process.
Some of the most important blessings of giving glory to God are rooted in specialising in godly praise and worship. When we can face God with a sense of purpose that expresses there's something we can do to magnify His presence in our lives, our Christian lives become easier to live by reason of gratitude. Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Romans 12:1 reads, "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship" (ESV). This versified statement is a call to spiritual worship through sacrificial gratitude, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging Christ's supremacy and benevolence with everything within bodies, which implies that there is a "put on view" glory our terrestrial bodies bring to Him.
Our response to Christ's finished works, which denote His goodness and enduring love involves bodily worship. Don't be casual with your "body" expressions while worshipping in His presence. This includes your bodily investment in corporate worship [unification of the saints] in a Christian gathering and in times of your personal devotion. As recipients of God's enduring love, we are called to reflect God's love through possible godly sensations in our bodies, even while among those around us, something which reflects a true posture of reverence to Godhead and recognitive, active harmonious union with Christ. Dance in His presence with joyful exuberance and don't do it in a sluggish manner, but rather let remarkable gratitude shape your bodily responses and interactions with God during praise and worship sessions.
Such dancing with enduring interest in God-Christ moral perfections, reassures you of their trustworthy nature and their healthy intentions for the entirety of your well-being [Ask King David]. This means that a body full of energy, excitement, and cheerfulness during spiritual worship is well pleasing to God.
Don't you know that God and Christ Jesus discuss our body systems? When Pauline epistolary expression reads, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV), what really comes to your mind? Reason with me!
It conveys God's covenantal faithfulness and unwavering commitment to the corporeal or earthen vessels of His people. Surely, the Godhead can't live in temple they don't discuss; hence, bodily worship is an active and expressive response to God which matters in heaven. Stay tuned for part 10. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Psalm 9:1; John 15:8; Romans 11:36; Colossians 3:17.
Guided Prayer:
Dear Father in heaven, the reality of your goodness and mercy is a foundational expression that is worthy of recognition in my life. Thus my terrestrial body is proved worthy before you in spiritual worship, each time I express my sincere, heartfelt gratitude with cheerful exuberance, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
