Reference: Psalm 98:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)

"Sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; His holy arm has shown His saving power! The Lord has announced His victory and has revealed His righteousness to every nation!"

The Bible says, "Sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful deeds." In the context of this versified segment, you'll clearly notice that the purpose of "reason" is always a persistent occurrence in encomium. Simply put, there is a reason for singing a new song to the Lord, and that is on account of an empirical witness of His wonderful deeds.

Now, in accordance with our referenced Scripture, the next reason for singing a new song to the Lord, which I will expound in today's article is:

"His right hand has won a mighty victory; His holy arm has shown His saving power!"

When the Bible talks about "God's holy arm," revealing a branch of divine power known as His saving power, it is making reference to prompted salvation on periodic basis - with purposeful and timely deliverance. God's arm is His entire limb from shoulder to hand, and in anatomical descriptions, the arm specifically refers to the upper arm and forearm. This implies that there was a process that led to mighty victory won by God's right hand. Are you with me? Again remember that God's arm is His entire limb ranging from shoulder to hand, meaning that the process of intervening salvation was ongoing until it resulted in great victory, which was well-wrought by His right hand.

In your journey of attaining a mighty victory which becomes an end result, you can keep experiencing God's saving power extended within specified times, when your heart is ever occupied with Him, and the voice of praise and psalmody rises from your heart all day and night long. I strongly believe that all of God's sincere children desire to dwell in His presence with the sense of praiseful pleasures, because God's saving power is a mysteries secret being revealed to such initiated saints who understand the value of earnest praise and worship in His presence. Psalmist says, "With a long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation" (Psalm 91:16 NKJV). In other words, I will let him see the revelation of my salvation, whenever the need arises, such that he will not stumble into ruin.

Beloved, in Psalm 100, A Psalm of thanksgiving reads, "Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy" (Verses 1-2 NLT). Another Scripture says, "Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name" (Hebrews 13:15 NLT).  Both Scriptures are emphasizing on developing a spiritual conduct that exerts a character which is largely expressed through the channel of singing praiseful songs to the Lord from the sea of joyful actions.

Furthermore, Colossians 3:16 reads, "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts" (NIV). Pauline instructive platitude here introduces us to subjecting ourselves to the truth of Christ's gospel, with the abundant enrichment of truth, which carries the light of God's presence through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. The very last segment which says, "singing to God with gratitude in your hearts" implies "singing quiet tunes to God." And that's peace and order within. Hallelujah! Stay tuned for part 4. Shalom!
