In some churches, the saints observe singing psalms arranged for spiritual upliftment, or a hymn typically sang with chorus-based biblical texts, which form a regular part of a church service. However, Psalmody consists of reading of Holy Scripture, Psalmists' prayers and paean, as well as motivatory preachings based on Psalter. More below!

Reference: Psalm 98:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)
"Sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; His holy arm has shown His saving power! The Lord has announced His victory and has revealed His righteousness to every nation!"
Psalm 98 is a Psalm that has an unknown specific author, meaning that King David wasn't identified as the author. Moreover, the psalm has often been recited as a canticle in the Anglican liturgy of Evening Prayer, which is denotative of the truth that it serves as an encomiastic, paeanic and laudatory model for Christian saints - praising and worshipping God in modern times. While the Psalm praises God for His wonderful deeds, victory, salvation, and revelation of His righteousness, it is considered a general expression of praise and a call for all nations to worship God.
Like I earlier mentioned, King David composed several Psalms, marked by dignified encomiums to Supreme Deity, which embody his reason for singing or writing, usually also the measure of reverential and deferential attainments in spiritual praise and worship. His regardful and reverent encomiums are noteworthy truths concerning the all-encompassing nature of God's goodness and mercy, which were sourced from the underlying typification of Davidic piety, plus his divine positioning and submissive loyalty to the Lord.

Several versions of Davidic Psalmody by encomium are replete with plaudits and lyrics that express triumph or thanksgiving to God for His "high-performing" right hand that produces wondrous deeds and saving grace. For instance, in line with our referenced Scripture, the very first segmentary statement reads:
"Sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful deeds"
In a nutshell, this very versified segment is an instructive insight into an acknowledgement of the Lord's astounding favour and wondrous acts in our various situations and world in general. Beloved, I have received both personal and putative convictions that praising God will be order of systemic magnitude in the blessedness of our upcoming eternity. Surely now, we ought to make it a "soberly disposed" business of our present world. For example, if the Psalmist had instructed that I should sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful deeds, I can praisefully honour and bless Him with an inspired encomium such as:
"Lord God, your unconditional love, awe-inspiring faithfulness and unparalleled compassion are the assembled components of my special songs, and I'll sing them to you in solemn recognition of your mighty power! I'm forever grateful for your gracious presence that reveals dominion-validated influences in my life. You are the flourishing strength of my life; your light and saving grace are my stronghold, and I will tell everyone about your unfathomable munificence which I experience on a daily basis. As long as the earth remains, I'll never become weary of sharing the story of how massive your inspirational ability is, in relation to building the muscles of my faith, and establishing every good thing in me. Your magnificent perfections have always been the foundation of my life's functionalities, and your readiness to hear and answer my prayers is a swift witness of your abiding Spirit in my heart and inward being. All glory to your advantage, Amen!"
"Oh well", you know what? God approves and absorbs the embedded information in my thoughtful encomium because He delights in my Spirit-enabled praises, acclaims, spiritual songs and paeanic Psalmody. Greatly beloved, may the Lord God continue to filter, invigorate and animate your spiritual conversations with His gracious ointment, for enduring, impactful purposes. Stay tuned for part 3.
Scripture Reading - Psalm 95:1-2; Psalm 105:2; 1 Corinthians 14:15; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 13:15.
