COME TO ME - PART 5

Reference: Matthew 11:28 New International Version (NIV)

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Today's article is still focused on the first versified segment:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Where are all who are weary and burdened located? On planet earth, not in heaven. Heavenly hosts are not in wearisome condition or in a state of being heavily burdened [take note of this truth]. Therefore, functioning in a pitiful state of intense despair, or being weighed down by wearisome boredom and the cares of human essential and advanced needs, has to do with physical location. Are you with me? Beloved, Jesus will never make this invitation in a spiritual location known as heaven; it happened because He was located on earth at that point in time. Why is it "earth" many a time? 

Isaiah 24:4, English Standard Version, reads: "The earth mourns and withers; the world languishes and withers; the highest people of the earth languish." 

If the earth mourns and withers; if the world languishes and fades, and the exalted of the earth waste away, it simply implies that there is a negative influence of extreme disorder in the earth and in the natural world. Hence, in the versified passage numbered as Isaiah 24:4, the description of the natural earth shows that the earth in general has no rest, but from a goodly consideration, this earth had a primordial beauty with an overwhelming inherent worth because just after its creation, the empty surroundings which were without shape, were put in perfect order after the Spirit of God moved over the surface of the water, covered with darkness. What happened to earth and world? 

Now watch this: 

The keywords "Earth" and "World" are strongly related, but they are not always the same. To be specific, the earth is referred to as physical planet, while the world is mainly identified as the physical people, societies, and life happening on the planet. To instantiate this phenomenal verity, both terms are differentiated in a Scriptural rendering numbered as Psalm 24:1 which reads, "The EARTH is the Lord's and all that is in it, the WORLD, and those who live in it" (ESV).

Shockingly, both the earth and the world are in distressful settings. As the earth is mourning and withering, the world is languishing and withering, resulting in people located in the earth, having to handle some adverse situations and series of diverse earthly challenges and pressures, meaning that the living conditions of natural mankind are relatively connected to either the earth's wellbeing or its natural ill-being/instability. Got it? Unfortunately as it is, the entire creation is being impaired, disturbed or devastated.

To quantify the effect of the earth and world's empirical analysis of uneasiness and anguish from another related contextualised examination written in Pauline epistolary expression, Romans 8:20-22 reads: 

"For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time" (NIV).

Beloved, the whole creation is affected by unrest against its will, due to the fact that it was at some point, subjected to God's curse. On account of this notice, last Adam from heaven emerged to offer divine rest, not to the heavenly-based supernatural beings, but to the world, which are the people living in societies and circular systems, and doing life on this particular realm or domain known as planet earth. 

Firstly, what is the precise nature of this divine invitation? It addresses all who are filled with earthly concerns, pain, spiritual and physical exhaustion and anxieties, which they can sometimes feel as physical weight or heavy burden. To them, the invitation is an essential call to take action, without a heart of unbelief.

Secondly, what is the power of last Adam's invitation? The power lies in the truth that He explained the beneficial impact. Yes, the invitation clearly stated the overall resultant outcome, which is divine rest. He didn't just point out or explain to us the main reason that prompted His invitation, He stated the descriptive nature of pains that the invitation would solve and resolve.

Furthermore, the "invitation" activities would consist of taking up His own kind of yoke [ light burden, divine authority and its obligation through submission to His Lordship], as well as learning from Him [last Adam's exemplum]. I always respond quickly to the Lordship of last Adam who offered and ensured a secure rest for all and sundry in Himself. More so, I'm forever grateful for my active and continued participation in this supernatural experience coordinated, administered and overseen by the Lord. Glory to God!
