BORN OF GOD - PART 4

Christ has given us the superior right to function as extraordinary gods on earth, and in this right, we experience the true meaning of sincere worship and effectual prayer, as well as hearty thanksgiving to God, the Father. More below!

Reference: John 1:12-13 New International Version (NIV)

"Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."

Christ gave us the right to become special gods, and the right grants us access to the newness of life, enabling us to continually capture the beneficial results of our salvation, and to show forth the virtuous elements of our official Royal Priesthood. To that effect, 2nd Corinthians 5:17 reads, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, He is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (NIV).

This right empowers us to keep living by faith in Christ, bearing in mind that we are wholly set apart to God through His precious blood. It conditions our hearts and spirits to experience a revival of interests and desires that are purely expressive or indicative of God's will and glory, a craving or hankering always more pleasing to Him.

Now watch this: The right was not given to us because we are children born of natural descent, or of human decision or a husband's will, but because we are born of God. On account of this truthful specification, I will expound the segmentary differentiations contained in the versified statement in the order of mention below, namely:

1. Children born not of natural descent (ie, who were born, not of blood).

2. Nor of human decision (ie, nor of the will of the flesh).

3. Or a husband's will (ie, the will of man).

4. But born of God (ie, Supernatural birth).

Before I start expounding this fourfold differentiations embedded in Johannine versified, divine thought pattern, from my next article, let me place great emphasis or fix upon the main "mind-boggling or astonishing" notion that is expressed within the framework of the versified statement, and that is the highest paramountcy, the noblest ascendancy and the purest cognizance of what the origin of a Christian life is - Supreme Deity. Heavenly Father, I thank you for the right I have received in Christ by faith, that grants me unlimited access to perfect peace and assured rest which the world cannot afford me. I'm forever grateful that my prayers, thanksgivings, praises and worship are entirely acceptable to you on Christ's account, who gave me the right to offer them heavenward unto your Sovereign Majesty, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
