APRIL 2023: ACUTE RESPONSE AND WIT ACUMEN

April 2023 - Month of Acute Response and Wit Acumen.

Beloved, there is something about the new creation that is so supreme and startling, and that thing keeps lingering within the ambit of my mind, especially when I read this Scripture in James 1:18 (NIV) - "He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created."

A kind of firstfruits, not "anyhow" firstfruits; a kind here means that God recreated us to function like genius, in line with His eternal purpose. Its like saying, "a particular design or version of a product which is superior in nature." To that effect, I introduce this month's theme as Acute Response and Wit Acumen.

Foundation Scripture: 1 Kings 3:28 English Standard Version (ESV)

"And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in Him to do justice."

Definitions:

1. Acute Response - (Of a person's mental process) intelligently analytical and clear-thinking, meaning that by the Spirit, you'll be expressing an accuracy in your perceptive comprehension of the scheme of things pertaining your life, which in turn, will influence your responses, leading to rewarding actions.

2. Wit Acumen - Quick understanding in your imaginative thoughts and ready insight into the real viewpoint of things, as well as the ability to make good judgements and take quick decisions by faith, with such understanding.

These magnificent combinations are important in our day-to-day Christian walk and thankfully, we have the Holy Spirit who will continually perfect and position us to function in that regard. In a nutshell, by help of the Spirit, you're going to be making good judgments with sharp-witted observations. Just like King Solomon, you'll be showcasing keen acuity and unusual ability to accurately assess situations you face or people you engage with, and then, turn your assessments, observations, evaluations and analysis to a manifold advantage. Oh well, you know, you can stretch the advantage to endless possibilities. Even in any unfavourable circumstance, nothing will be able to reduce the possibilities of your success and effectiveness, as you continue to meditate on the wisdom of God this very month.

By yielding to the operational worth of the Spirit in your life, you'd realise that you're quick to notice and understand things happening around you. As a discerning Christian, you'll continually develop and express good insight and understanding with the accurate perspective, thereby showing alertness and perceptiveness. You'll also appear wiser than your contemporaries in all things pertaining to your life, by the efficacious influence of the Holy Spirit. Daniel 1:20 reads, "Whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom" (NLT).

You'll be so astute and vigorous in all your expressions - in an appropriate manner, and your actions and responses will suit any given situation or circumstance favourably. Your words will be befitting to any occasion or purpose because you have the continual inspiration of the Holy Spirit, who is your ever-present accompaniment. Got it? Glory to Supreme Deity!

More so, you are going to be making good judgments in your work place, business encounters and other areas of endeavour. You'll also be administering justice. Our foundation Scripture noted that when all Israel heard of King Solomon's decision, the people were in awe of the king, for they acknowledged that God had given him the wisdom for rendering accurate justice. In the same manner, people around you will surely realise that the wisdom of God has enabled you to judge things rightly.

MY PRAYER: This very month and beyond, I pray that the level of your spiritual understanding and insight into the Kingdom realities will always be on rapid increase, such that your progress, productivity and positive impact will rise to the top, empowering you to function better with acute response and wit acumen.
