AGREE WITH THE WORD AND SPEAK IT OFTEN

When you agree with the Word of God and speak it, you condition your life to be transformed by it. When you form it as a habit, your mind will be renewed, your faith will grow and every area of your life will start changing for the better. This is because God delights in the words you speak and honours it, when they are consistent with His will.

Reference: Psalm 19:14 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 'Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.'

David prayed for his words and the thoughts of his heart to be acceptable to the Lord. The only way to let the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be acceptable in God's sight is by coming into agreement with God's Word and speaking it over your life and your circumstances. If not, it's easy to speak words of doubt and discouragement which contradicts what God says about you in His Word. In our faith walk, we must learn to agree with the Word and speak it over our lives consistently. When we do so, God is pleased and He goes in our behalves to set things right for us. In Jeremiah 1:12, the LORD said to Jeremiah, '...for I watch over my word to accomplish it.' That means, learn to say what God says, because that's what He will accomplish or establish in your life.

All Scripture is God-breathed and it means that they are what God has spoken and inspired (2 Timothy 3:16). This also means that the authority and utility of the Scriptures must never be overlooked. When your words are not in line with the Scriptures, they are not what God has said and it shows that you are going to have the opposite of the desired effect. But when your words are consistent with the Word of God, then your utterances become powerful weapons to upgrade or transform your life, regardless of how good or bad things may seem. So don't just speak to God about your problems, also learn to agree with God's Word and speak to your problems using His Word.

When you agree with the Word, you make God's Word your own words and that's when your words and meditations become acceptable in His sight. To succeed well in life, God's Word must be in my mouth. Job 22:28 (KJV) says, 'Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.' Choose to chew on it and pray with it because there's power in the Word. It is impregnated with divine seeds of life and those seeds, when planted in any area of your life, will spring forth and produce the results of its description in your life. As you daily agree with the Word, dwell on it and speak it forth, the Lord will accept your words and delight in you. He will also watch over your words to perform it.

We are designed in Christ to make use of the Word to supply all our necessities, and to live by faith in Him, walk with Him, grow up in Him, advance and march forward from glory to glory in Him. So it will be amiss to speak words contrary to the Word. Always let the words of your mouth and the meditation of our heart be acceptable in His sight.

Guided Prayer: Precious Father, your Word is all I need; it is the source of true power and transformation. It is my standard and instruction in righteousness. It influences my utterances such that they become acceptable in your sight. I rely on it for my heart meditations and it forms my vocabulary and lexis. My steps in life are directed and ordered by you as I speak words in conformity with the Scriptures. By this route, I'm positioned in the right places and at the right time for your purpose, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
