WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR CARES

SATURDAY 28 AUGUST 2021

People say that cares are inevitable. If you accommodate them, they may never allow you to be a better version of yourself because they affect the human mind and behaviour. This has been found to be true on a range of issues. At the same time, God has a different approach and information that affirm peace of mind regardless of human cares and concerns. He uses communication strategy (prayer, supplication and thanksgiving) to solve the problem, which is the pathway of strength and victorious living.

Reference: 1 Peter 5:7 New International Version (NIV) "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Indeed, this Scripture is a stress-relieving truth or information. Cares are anxieties, worries, and concerns. A lot of time and effort invested in anxiety, worries and concerns is wasted, bearing in mind that time is expensive. Simply put, cares and anxiety understand time and human attention and how to consume them. But God has a caring attitude so much that He cares about what you do with your time. For this reason, He doesn't want you to waste time on irrelevant issues and concerns which He can handle for you.

Since God values your time, He says, "leave those cares for me", because He is the God that functions beyond the time realm where those feelings don't have any effects. Hence, He doesn't lack the capacity to root out their causes. But the science of the flesh argues against this truth. However, effort to ignore this instruction or principle is what triggers frustration, depression, and desperation. So this is an awareness-raising Scripture and may be the most powerful and effective instruction you're not using yet.

Worry, anxiety and concern encourage negative effects; they have repercussion or, in the worst cases, they cause harm, because they take hold of your feelings and emotions. For this reason, they can easily affect your engagement, performance, and behaviour change. In fact, they seek your attention and devour your focus but God wants to help you understand attention and remain focused on the things that matter. Believe it or not, anxiety has tended or proven to be highly successful in deterring many people from making progress as they ought to. Therefore, why not listen to God today?

If you're going to make a huge difference in today's world, you have to use this verse as an intelligence to lay the foundation of your strategy to succeed in all you do: "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." What makes God care for His people? First, He has a fathering heart. Remember He is known as our "Everlasting Father". No other father has that title. Our fatherly role or responsibility is mostly on earth which is temporary because there is no parents or reproduction in heaven. You can see why nobody does it better than God when it comes to caring qualities.

Second, no research on earth can claim to be completely effective in handling all human cares and providing permanent solution and rest. It's only Jesus that assured us that. In fact, Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28 NIV). Even though humans attempt to administer care and manage all manner of concerns, nobody on earth has ever run out of problems yet. But once you gain God's perspective on how He handles your cares, you'll quickly submit to divine insight and cast all your anxiety on Him.

Beloved, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV). In other words prayer moves us from such feelings to notable change. Shalom!

Guided Prayer: Heavenly Father, I'm grateful that you intentionally care for me in every way. By casting all my cares on you, you set my heart, mind, and spirit at ease. Therefore, I have made prayer a constant communication and I'm totally committed and devoted to you. I daily invest my attention, emotion, and action on the things that matter and I allow my mind to be framed by your thoughtful good plans for my life, which are deeply connected to the guidance of your Spirit. Thank you for granting me supernatural rest in every aspect of life in Jesus' Name, Amen!
