I'm introducing a new topic known as "the words of my mouth." Why do I choose to discuss and expound this very topic? The words of my mouth are very important and significantly gracious to God. More below!
Reference: Deuteronomy 32:1-3 New International Version (NIV)
"Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"
The versified reference has to do with the song of Moses expressed with creation in its entirety to welcome the words of his mouth and knowledge. So he urges the heavens and the earth to pay apt attention to him by saying, "Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth..." Got it?
Moses understood the importance of his message and the impactful nature of its dynamism on the whole of creation - if his words were substantially heard. He didn't desire to share a message that was characterised by limited and "undirected" desultory influence with partial and short-lived effect on the entire creation.
Even God's creation, specifically the heavenly bodies and lights, in their beatific sense of appearance, deliver a strong message to humanity. To instantiate this noteworthy verity, the Bible says in a Psalm of David: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them" (Psalm 19:1-3 NIV). In other words, they speak without making any audible sound or word, and their voice is never heard, yet they communicate God's wondrous artistry.
Interestingly, the Psalmist stated: "Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun" (verse 4), meaning that the heavenly light, namely "the sun" has its abode in the heavens, and speaks the language, known as day light, to the extreme ends of the earth.
However, although I'm wearing an "earthbound" physical body considered as earthen vessel, which singularly denotes that the earth is my dwelling place in relation to time realm, I have a greater privilege and understanding of the truth the heavenly bodies declare, and I exude audible sounds with the quality or tone of my speechification - heard both in heaven and on earth.
More so, the wordings of my mouth are clear sounds that reveal the complete translation of the Gospel of Christ and the will of God who is in heaven, and uphold the hidden codes it contains - relating to the practice of righteousness. That means, my speech intelligibility is superior to that of the assembly of celestial bodies, because according to the Psalmist, they've got zero speech, since they use no words.
This same privilege has been given to all the dignified saints in the Kingdom of light. We can speak and the heavens will swiftly listen and hear; We can declare a thing, and the foundation of this earth will summon its natural surroundings to hear the words of our mouths.
A Scripture that implicitly indicates that heaven and earth are necessitated to hear us is a versified statement expressed by Jesus Christ Himself which says, "I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven" (Matthew 18:18 NLT). Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!
Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing the power that lies in the words of my mouth. Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth, because the Lord has assigned eternal value to my spoken words. I shall always decree a thing and proclaim the message of Christ's eternal Kingdom, for they shall always be established in the heavens and on earth, in accordance with divine will and purpose, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
