THE FRUITFUL VINEYARD - PART 2
THURSDAY 09 JANUARY 2025

Reference: Isaiah 27:2-3 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
"The Lord said: At that time you must sing about a fruitful vineyard. I, the Lord, will protect it and always keep it watered. I will guard it day and night to keep it from harm."
What was the Lord's message in the above versified reference? To expound the message from the standpoint of enlightened and illuminated clarification, I have chosen to divide it into three segments, which are listed below - with their underlying connotations:
1. At that time you must sing about a fruitful vineyard.
CLARIFICATION NOTE: (We are to participate in the light of sound musically-enabled instruction). We, not God, denoting our responsibility!
2. I, the Lord, will protect it and always keep it watered.
CLARIFICATION NOTE: (God is committed to doing His part by granting protection and sustainability). God, not us, denoting the responsibility of Supreme Deity.
3. I will guard it day and night to keep it from harm.
CLARIFICATION NOTE: (God is equally committed to providing safeguarding measures and proper shield). Again, God, not us, denoting the responsibility of Supreme Deity.
In today's article, I am going to be more immediate with expounding the first segment, which is to sing about a fruitful vineyard. Beloved, in the natural realm, it doesn't matter how big or small your vineyard or garden is, the first step - once all relevant appliances and equipment are in place - is to prepare the ground.
At that time, which is now, singing about a fruitful vineyard entails delving into the laid foundation to the required depth, which is the way of the Spirit. In another way, how do we sing about a fruitful vineyard? Firstly, it starts by the infilling of the Spirit. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression reads, "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 5:18-20 NLT). Did you notice the order of mention? Be filled with the Spirit, then sing. Sing what? Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves...Got it?
Secondly, we sing about a fruitful vineyard by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in "us" in Christ Jesus. The very translation known as the New American Standard Bible reads, "And I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for the sake of Christ" (Philemon 1:6). In a nutshell, as you sing about a fruitful vineyard, you can:
1. Boldly admit and cherish the existence of the spiritual gifts at work in your life.
2. Recognize and celebrate the importance and quality of your God-given identity in Christ.
Every type of singing has a definitive purpose that fits within a supernatural order characterized by melody. Are you with me? Furthermore, notice that the Lord did not stipulate the first versified segment as a mere suggestion, but as an essential and incumbent instruction. Simply put, singing about a fruitful vineyard is a "must" actionable approach. That's exactly what the Lord's message implies. I remember the Lord's instructive denotation in Mark 4:24, which reads, "Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more" (NLT). So in our referenced Scripture, again the first segment reads:
"At that time you MUST sing about a fruitful vineyard."
The "MUST" which I purposefully indicated in bold letters - exemplifies empirical evidence of being obliged to sing, hence, expressing the utmost necessity of sound and melodious lyricism that transmits joyous inculcation of the truth that we are a fruitful vineyard - which is a glorious distinction. Got it? Beloved, you must sing about a fruitful vineyard as the beautiful expression of divine thoughts and every wonderful thing in you, which is the Lord's doing. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!
