SUPERLATIVE POSSIBILITIES  - PART 9

SATURDAY 31 AUGUST 2024

When you know in the very depth of your heart that with God, all things are possible, a calmness of confidence settles within you, and with this perspective, your conviction about God's limitless ability provides alacritous hope that comes with a clarification of superlative thoughts, which are often made of the Spirit of God. More below!

Reference: Matthew 19:26 New International Version (NIV)

'Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."'

In today's article, I would like to share some significant existential doors of possibilities the Lord opened for the saints in the New Testament Scriptures, which in turn, aligned their faith journeys with God-inspired vision for their lives. Markedly, the key of David was essentially responsible for the open doors.

1. 1st Corinthians 16:9 (NLT)

"There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me."

This possibility is known as door of service. However it is of paramount importance to be untroubled when oppositions come with such possibility. To refresh and activate this truth in your spirit, no opposition deserves your recognition if you understand the influential power of the Holy Spirit in your life.

2. Colossians 4:3 (NLT)

"Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains."

This possibility is known as a door of effective utterance. This door cuts through the darkness of ignorance and sin, by activating the radiant illumination of Christ's message. In addition, proclaiming God's mystery, namely Christ, requires effectual fervent prayer for such door to appear open.

3. 2nd Corinthians 2:12 (NLT)

"When I came to the city of Troas to preach the Good News of Christ, the Lord opened a door of opportunity for me."

This possibility was a door of opportunity. The Lord opened this door for Paul, in order to preach the good news of Christ to the city of Troas, but he did not utilise it because his spirit was restless when he could not find his brother Titus.

4. Acts 14:27 (NLT)

"Arriving there, they gathered the church together and began to report [in great detail] everything that God had done with them and how He had opened to the Gentiles a door of faith [in Jesus as the Messiah and Savior]."

This possibility is known as a door of faith, which symbolizes and embodies a redemptive beacon of eternal hope for the lost Gentiles.

5. Acts 16:6-7 (NLT)

"Next Paul and Silas travelled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time. Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there."

Here, the seeming possibility was negated as "double" closed door. The Lord prevented them from preaching the message of reconciliation in Asia at that point in time, so they travelled through Phrygia and Galatia. When they came near Mysia and planned to go into Bithynia, again they felt restrained from entering that region, by the Spirit of Jesus. All of that - is a conviction based on Paul and Silas' impersonal observatory intelligence as they were led by the Spirit.

In my conclusive statement regarding doors of superlative possibilities, I want to remind us that the Bible says, "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV). In other words, that issue or difficulty is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth by His great power and outstretched arm, for indeed, nothing is too difficult for Him. Hallelujah! Stay tuned for part 10. Shalom!
