LIFE - PART 3

Life of the Word upholds the physical body, renews the soul (the mind realm) and nourishes the spiritual life in us, thereby empowering us to manifest the eternal life on earth in an effectual way. This is the reason those who are grafted into the life of the Word are blessed, gracious, fruitful, prosperous, distinguished, dignified, poised or confident, and mettlesome, plus they disseminate the Word cheerfully.

In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men.

The Scripture says, "In Him was life [and the power to bestow life]", both which imply that the Word incarnate has life and the ability to bestow life. The Bible says, "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son" (1st John 5:11 NIV). I will shed light on this revelation in the next part of this topic.

Light is an invaluable tool for the born again Christian and also the starting point for those who will believe in Christ. Are you an animal? This is not for you. Are you a man (human being)? If yes, and you are born again, having a quality time with the Word is a reliable and time-honoured way of making sure you get accurate exposure to divine light, time and again.

The Word of God is not just full of light, it is also a device for measuring the available light in you so that you can set, reset, adjust and upgrade your Christian life accordingly and succeed by God's presence increasingly. So when the Gospel of John tells us that this life was the light of men, it equally means that the Word of life has its own "built-in" light system for mankind. Psalm 36:9 reads, "For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light"(NIV). This is exactly what our versified statement according to the Gospel of John denotes.

With Christ (the word incarnate) is the fountain of life, and by welcoming, receiving, and absorbing the light that exudes from the life of the Word, we see more light. Simply put, there are manifold light which springs up from the life of the Word. Expressively and metaphorically, the Word is like a light meter that offers untold number of endless advantages in form of sundry lights, such as light of healing, health, abundance, fruitfulness, victory, success, restoration, holiness, goodness, faithfulness, love, joy, peace, generous provision, kindness, moral excellence, godliness, etc.

Beloved, the Word is a useful tool for those who are in Christ Jesus because it grants them accurate or precise exposure to unending light of blessings in the Kingdom of light through constant cogitation. Hallelujah! And the Word as a light is the channel of divine instructions, reproofs, exhortations, and training in righteousness, and it wields the Spirit of eternal influence on earth. Gracious Father, as the new creation in Christ Jesus, I have the fullness of your life in me, which is the light of my salvation and faith in Christ, and from the plenitude of truth and grace hugely at work in me, I live the heavenly life on earth in a glorious manner, moving from strength to intensified strength, from victory to overwhelming victory, and from success to increased success, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
