JESUS CHRIST IS ETERNAL LIFE REVEALED

MONDAY 5 JULY 2021

Jesus Christ is the embodiment, avatar, epitome and true revelation of eternal life. Apostle Paul revealed to us that only Christ can live the Christian life, with the new creation simply as His vehicle of expression. No wonder he said in Galatians 2:20 (NIV), "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." When Christ, the revelation of God's mystery, was revealed in Paul, he lived a glorious life on earth.

Reference: 1 John 1:2 New Living Translation (NLT) "And the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was revealed to us."

John the Evangelist declares that Jesus is eternal life Himself, who was revealed to them, and they saw Him. He testifies and proclaims to us that He is the "eternal life." Jesus was with the Father, and then He was revealed in the flesh. He is genuine and eternal life. Now this is a foundational truth and this life has been made manifest in the new creation, enabling him to live a life of active righteousness.

The new creation is the born again Christian, and for him, "Christ in you" reality is a daily experience of life on earth. It's a life that is lived far above all the negativities, principalities and powers, spiritual wickedness in high places and the forces of nature. The sufficiency of "Christ in you" is more than enough for living the superior Christian life on a daily basis. This is what some Christians are yet realize. Ignorantly, their personal efforts to "live for God" get in the way of Christ living through them and taking full charge. And as long as you neglect His presence and fellowship by the strength of the Holy Spirit, the Christian life will be dimly lived according to your own effort, even though you have eternal life. It's only His active divine power in us, by the strength of fellowship, that grants us the ability to live the godly life and give expression to eternal life.

The Bible says, "By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvellous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires" (2 Peter 1:3-4 NLT). Beloved, we are partakers of His divine nature, for in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body (see Colossians 2:9 NLT).

There is a reason Christ is revealed in the new creation. It is so we can partake of His divine nature and have esoteric interactions with the Godhead. That means "Christ in you" is much more than Emmanuel (God with us). Before His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus was with His disciples (Emmanuel), but they didn't have the divine nature until He died for mankind. Now if you are in Christ, you are a new class of being because of eternal life, which is the God-kind of life. The very substance of God dwells in you in the most significant sense. By this, I mean - not just "with you" but "in you", which is a revelation too deep.

My beloved in Christ, you are not ordinary, because you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power (see Colossians 2:10 NKJV). In other words, "Christ in you" is the full evidence of superiority and dominion over all, including Satan and all His evil influences in this world. In Christ, you have everything necessary and sufficient for a successful Christian living such as holiness, righteousness, godliness, divine ability and strength, grace, angelic support and assistance, treasures of wisdom and knowledge, divine health, comfort, prevailing faith and most importantly, eternal life that affords you the spending of eternity with God. All of these benefits of salvation empower us to glorify God on earth, and prepare us for greater realms of glory with Him in the life to come. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - John 3:36; Romans 5:21; John 10:28-30; John 17:3; 1 Timothy 6:12; 1 John 5:11-13.

Exuberant Declaration: Christ lives in me. He is the captain of my salvation; the evidence and author of eternal life at work in me. Thus I have bold confidence to live the Christian life by the authority and power of His Word. Christ in me is the hope of glory and He reigns through me to dominate circumstances, manifest righteousness and produce excellence. Glory to God!
