GOD HAS QUALIFIED YOU

FRIDAY 13 AUGUST 2021

God has qualified the saints to share in the inheritance of His Kingdom as the heritage of God. This inheritance is divine and its infinitely precious and more honourable than all the riches, authority, wealth, and pleasures of this world.

Reference: Colossians 1:12 New International Version (NIV) "And giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light."

Before God qualified you, He had already planned an inheritance for you from before the beginning of time. Now, because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, He made us right in order for us to have access to a goodly heritage and inheritance. Through His sacrifice, He enabled us to share in this inheritance that belongs to us as God's people, who live in the light. And its by His grace through faith in Christ that we possess all inheritance in the Kingdom of light.

This inheritance of the saints is our eternal destiny with the Lord and reward in heaven. Apostle Peter called it an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. In 1 Peter 1:4 (NLT), he says, "and we have a priceless inheritance - an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay." For instance, the saints will receive several crowns as inheritance. 1 Peter 5:4 reads, "And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away."

The chief Shepherd is Christ our Lord. The Douay-Rheims Bible calls Him the Prince of pastors because the crown of glory is for elders and pastors. He will soon appear in His glory and crown the saints with the crown of glory which is the promised glory He assured His chosen ones. Remember the Scripture, "I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one" (John 17:22 NLT). Another inheritance for all the saints is an incorruptible crown that doesn't fade away or wither. So every crowning is an upcoming event and they are crowns or diadem for the faithful saints due to their victories and faithfulness.

The Bible says in Ephesians 1:11(ESV), "In [Christ] we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will." Our inheritance in Christ is guaranteed and reserved. In other words, in heaven, they cannot perish, spoil, fade or be tampered with and of course, they have our names on it. Although we enjoy many inherited blessings on earth as the seed of Abraham, our true inheritance is reserved for us in heaven. All that is required of us is to continually give joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Psalm 16:5-6; Romans 8:17; 2 Corinthians 4:17-18; Ephesians 1:13-14.

Guided Prayer: Thanks be unto God, who has qualified me for an unfading inheritance and enduring possession in Christ. The value and eternal weight of the glory that await me are glorious and delightful. By hearing and meditating on the Word of truth, I walk in my earthly blessings and possess all my promised inheritance in Jesus' Name, Amen!
