EXALT GOD - PART 1

FRIDAY 01 SEPTEMBER 2023

Exalting God, not just through our lips, but also from the very depth of our heart, is a true sign of our love for God, and it's one of the ways to show or demonstrate a genuine honour and reverence to our Supreme Deity.

Reference: Psalm 18:46 New International Version (NIV) "The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!"

How often do you acknowledge that the LORD lives? How often do you proclaim and praise Him as your Rock! Are you aware that He is your eternal Saviour? If so, may the God of our salvation be highly exalted!

Our referenced Scripture is sourced from Davidic inspired collection of Psalmody, reflecting his hearty manner of exaltation, combined with an attitude of solemn thanksgiving, from a victorious sense of articulation. Moreover, I want you to notice that the expression carries a messianic notion, and each part of the notion revealed in the verse follows each other in a meaningful order.

By this, I mean that the versified passage divulges a reasoning that is based on interconnected things or effects, which denote the means by which the Author and Finisher of our faith was glorified, after exerting His authority over sin and death on the cross, and bringing our salvation to fruition. This, I will shed light on, in the successive parts of this topic.

To summarise the versified statement in accordance with its pattern of sequence, the Psalmist made reference to the enormous wisdom and power of God in the following manner:

1. The Lord lives! 2. Praise be to my Rock! 3. Exalted be God my Saviour!

I will now expound the generality of the significance of this topic in 3 segments listed above, in order to unveil the figurative views of its hidden wisdom in down-to-earth phraseology, inspired by the Spirit of truth. Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Psalm 57:5; 1 Chronicles 29:11; Psalm 145:1; Isaiah 25:1.

Guided Prayer: Gracious Father, you are the only Lord that is true and everlasting. Your foreverhood and eternality have no business with an abrupt end, and your exalted Deity is without equal. I am one of the people who have resolved to rest on your help, acknowledging that my hope is built on Christ, the rock foundation, and my virtues are rooted in a solid position, full of wisdom, power, internal and external blessings. I therefore, acknowledge that I always emerge strong on the surface because I'm anchored in the vista of your magnified glorious image - structured within my inwardness, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
