DIVINE DISCUSSION - PART 6

SATURDAY 01 FEBRUARY 2025

Reference: John 17:10 New Living Translation (NLT)

"All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so they bring me glory."

Today's expository knowledge is still on the final segment, which is:

"so they bring me glory."

By considering the dictates of this versified statement below, one of the ways we generate Christ's glory is by introducing the shining impact of godly change in the world around you:

"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honour and] glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16 - Amplified Bible).

This Scripture is crucial for gaining the accurate understanding that there is a great divine blessing in being a practical shining light, which in turn, leads to such a virtue as bringing glory to Christ. You can become a shining light altering lives around the world - from a positive sense of direction. So I don't just come from God, I belong to Christ, and I shine as great light in a significant way. And in our day-to-day life, practising this truth from time to time doesn't only bring glory to Godhead, it equally attracts the favour of Supreme Deity.

Anyone who belongs to Christ and listens to this expository knowledge, understands me because the knowledge is of paramount importance. Moreover, we bring glory to Christ because He lives in us, not because the glory is of our own making. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression reads, "the mystery which had been hidden from the past ages and generations, but now has been revealed to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:26-27 NASB).

So by giving us as a gift to Christ, God Himself made known to us a mystery hidden from ages and generations, and has also shown and established the riches of His glory in us through the abiding presence of the mystery. Why? He wants us to keeping gaining the fuller transforming experience of His glory, as we get involved in Kingdom activities that bring glory to Christ.

In a nutshell, the New Living Translation of Colossians 1:27 articulated it in this manner:

"For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His glory."

For further inspired thoughts that bring clarity of perception to this truth, the riches and glory of Christ are for us, and in partaking in missional practices, divine instructions, and effectual insights that bring Him glory, we are already sharing His glory. Got it? Besides, when you realise that the versified statement uses the term or phrasal expression, "the wealth of the glory" of this mystery or "the riches and glory" of Christ, it is ALSO bringing your attention to divine prosperity, with an inclusive symbolism of affluence and grandeur, PLUS other facets of the glory - such as the treasures of divine wisdom and knowledge - and I'll shed light on this revelatory insight in the next article.

More so, as Christ dwells and reigns in us, and as we preach Him among men, the assured knowledge of His glory is being revealed to all manner of people. That way, He is being glorified in our lives. Got it? In view of this truth, the Bible, in accordance with Habakkuk 2:14 reads, "But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea" (AMP).

Beloved, the time has come, because in this day and age, the knowledge of His glory is on rapid and tremendous increase, considering the truth that humankind now has greater opportunity than ever before - to receive the Word through church services, the internet, Christian books, audio or video equipment, as well as through missionary works and outreaches. Stay tuned for part 7. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration:

In keeping on with the Word of God, I'm greatly empowered to bring glory to Christ, and to be fully established in His glory, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
