CHRIST, THE HIGHEST POSITION - PART 3

If Christ is the highest position that exists and you belong to Him, then you must live and function according to the position in which you've been placed. In other words, if God raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, then we must deliberately condition ourselves to function by the influences of the Holy Spirit through faith, in order to demonstrate the proof of the highest position in our earthly life. To keep it simple and to the point, Christ lives in us by His Spirit, and so, we must live for Him in all our ways and dealings, which is how to express our position in Him in this present world.

After he had cleansed people from their sins, he received the highest position, the one next to the Father in heaven."
The highest position Christ received is a God-honouring position. That means it came directly from God. What comes to mind when I contemplate this truth is that God always gives us His best. He didn't just give us His only beloved Son, Christ, as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, He also raised us up together with Him and placed us at the best, most superior and highest position with Him. What a generous God we serve! Question: In your Christian journey, where and from who do you expect your promotion and elevation? Who do you put your confidence and trust in, for the assurance of your desires in life? God or man?
The Bible says, "All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change. By his sovereign plan he gave us birth through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all he created" (James 1:17-18 NET). Looking at this Scripture, you can see eye to eye that the position we're placed with Christ in the heavenly realms is a good and perfect position and so, its a perfect gift from God. He didn't stop there; He made us firstfruits of all He created, not less than firstfruits or close to it, which means "the most important of all the things He made."
Beloved, in Christ Jesus, we are God's most favourite creatures out of all His creation and He shows us off as the most-prized possession; the crown of all His creatures. There is nothing deceitful in God because He's not two-faced, meaning that the position He placed us with Christ is more real than the very clothing on you. Now how do you function or express yourself in this position in the earth realm? Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2 NIV). Work on thoughts about heavenly realities and live it out on earth. In other words, desire the things of the Spirit without measure and convert them to your lifestyle, bearing in mind that we're not called to function according to the course of this world.
To position yourself in the highest realm (Christ) both visually and experientially, be conscious of your union with the person of Christ and your immediate connection with His finished work by faith. By finished work, I mean that the highest position is a position of abundant life, strength, victory, favour, prosperity, certainty, fruitfulness, productivity, limitless possibilities, eternal life, health, wholeness, righteousness, holiness, dominion and safety. It also includes mastery, artistry, superior intelligence, effectiveness, spiritual fervency, goodness, boldness and audacity of faith...the list is endless. For your life on earth to be well-characterized by these realities, position your mind on the things of the Spirit and approach life from the spiritual point of view, because you are a new creation, not a natural man.
