Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ... (Romans 8:17 NIV). We have both earthly and eternal inheritance we share with Christ in the realm of His glory. For instance, eternal life is an eternal inheritance we share with Christ. In order to possess and activate all your earthly inheritance on earth, cultivate and have this mind in you, which is "we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ." More below!
Reference: Galatians 3:18 New International Version (NIV)
"For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in His grace gave it to Abraham through a promise."
Now watch this: In accordance with the above Scripture reference, notice that the inheritance has already been given. On our end, we have to acknowledge it, take appropriate possession of what has been given, and make its reception evident in our personal lives, which implies that it is within our control, or in a nutshell, it is our responsibility and duty to act and exercise our faith in partaking of the benefits.
So, in the way of salvation, we inherited the promises, which are being distributed to us as inheritance, by agency of the Spirit. To that effect, Galatians 3:29 reads, "And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are His heirs, and God's promise to Abraham belongs to you" (NLT).
In addition, another Pauline epistolary expression reads, "Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan" (Ephesians 1:11 NLT). Notice that this versified statement informed that "we have received an inheritance from God", not that we are going to receive it. Why is this version of Pauline intelligence in speechification significantly important? It conditions your mentality to acknowledge with a sense of certainty, a firmness of conviction, and an assured confidence - that the inheritance is already yours.
When your mentality about the inheritance has been solidly programmed in this manner, all you have to do is to exercise your faith to walk into your inheritance unhindered, bearing in mind that since the inheritance is not based on the law, it bespeaks that we ratify the receipt by faith, just like we are in direct relationship with God by the same faith in Christ.
Faith brings the promises to fruition in our personal lives and experiences. Zero wonder apostle Paul gave special importance to the principles and relevance of applied faith, stating that we are all sons and daughters of God through active and activated "faith" in Christ Jesus. In fact, Galatians 3:23-26 reads, "But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being confined for the faith that was destined to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus" (NASB).
Now, if you haven't seen any desired inheritance you are anticipating in your earthly life, it doesn't indicate that you don't have it; it simply connotes that you ought to keep your faith alive to the fullest extent - in order to pick the signalling response from the spiritual realm and establish the description in your life by demonstrating it in the realm of proclamation, because your vocal expression, backed up by unwavering faith, is the title deed of your inheritance in Christ. For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God's promises] - (2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP).
What is this faith? In accordance with Hebraic awakening indication: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). Stay tuned for part 10. Shalom!
Heavenly Father, I thank you for my spirit which is able to receive all inheritance associated with my salvation in Christ, with a superior sense of grace, and in splendid rhythm of spiritual wisdom and understanding, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
