THE WORD WITHIN
THURSDAY 17 MARCH 2022
God wants you to get His Word into your spirit and become one with it so you can have confidence in a heart, filled with divine inspiration. Your spirit is the home of godly responsiveness, storage and discernment. By making rich deposits of the Word within it, you are storing the greatest blessing of divine light in you. That way, you firmly establish the testimony of the truth in your life and lay hold of the true meaning of divine life by speaking it forth and exercising a lively faith in it.
Reference: Job 32:18 New Living Translation (NLT) "For I am full of pent-up words, and the spirit within me urges me on."
By paying attention to the above reasoning, we can realise that Elihu, son of Barakel the Buzite, was full of words unable to be expressed or released. At that point, he was communing with his spirit. Job 32:8 reads, "But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding." It is of the essence to note that those words bore witness to the truth - in his spirit - and commanded his response, and therefore he turned to it to draw from it as his spirit compelled him.
Jeremiah, the weeping Prophet, acknowledged the same truth in the book of Jeremiah 20:9 (NKJV): 'Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And l could not.' Simply put, the Word of God is quick, effective and powerful, and the grace is plenteous such that it cannot be veiled in our spirit and it can't be contained in our hearts without demanding our bold speech. Therefore it's not enough to be enriched with the Word, it should be uttered by the tongue of power and might.
The Word of God in our spirit reveals the counsel of the Almighty and the mysteries of divine knowledge, which shine on our spirit with the light of eternity. Proverbs 20:27 reads, "The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one's inmost being" (NIV). This light has a direct, rewarding influence of the Spirit upon a man's life and it releases the comfort of God's blessing and effects of true inspiration on the mind.
The Bible says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16). If you are making the Word deposits in you richly in all wisdom, it means that you're piling up treasures and resources that will make you wise in every way and aspect of life. When the Word is richly stored in your spirit, it implies that its been invested in you in an ample degree. The Greek Word for "richly" is "plousiós" which suggests - lavishly supplied, extremely plentiful, and magnificently copious.
As the Word is richly invested in you, it becomes a tree of effulgent glory that produces the choicest fruits in you. Fruits such as success, abundance, health, provision, fulfilment, prosperity, promotion, victory and more, are produced for you. For instance, if you require "victory" in a challenging situation, by tapping into the specific knowledge of the Word connected to the situation, and by applying the knowledge to yourself, the wisdom of God arises to establish the triumph in your plight, so you can experience the victory of Christ. Shalom!
