"Your ears will hear sweet words behind you: 'Go this way. There is your path; this is how you should go' whenever you must decide whether to turn to the right or the left."
Your ears will hear sweet words behind you. This denotes a strong association with the Holy Spirit. The influence of that association is the voice of direction.
John 10:14-16 reads:
"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me - just as the Father knows me and I know the Father - and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd" (NIV).
Did you notice the strong Shepherd-sheep relationship going on in the above passage of the Scripture? Jesus used such figure of speech to exemplify His unwavering commitment to caring for saints. He also stated, "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd."
Those who are not of the Jewish fold are the Gentiles who would subsequently come to the knowledge of the glorious gospel. Eventually, there would be one flock, one shepherd, indicating that there would be no significant difference between the Jews and Gentiles in Christ. To that effect, Galatians 3:28 reads, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (NIV).
Even in heaven right now, Jesus is constantly talking with God about those He considers His sheep. How do I know this? It's not just because He is interceding for us in heaven, remember that before He ascended to heaven, He stated in John 10:27-28, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand" (NIV). This also means that while on earth, He made bold claims about who He was to us, what He came to do, and what He would do, after He descended. These are not the claims a Shepherd would have uttered if they had not been a good Shepherd (see John 10:11-13 NIV).
The communication between the good Shepherd and the sheep is the most important aspect of a quality Christian life, and hearing His voice is the primary means of sustaining the light of divine communication. How clearly a person hears and listens to this voice is dependent on how much they value and activate His presence in their lives, because His voice is only comprehensible to a prayerful, obedient, devout, faithful and God-fearing listener, and it typifies cognitive, moral, and spiritual clarity.
His voice, which is transmitted by the Holy Spirit, determines the fulfilment of your glorious destiny. The more you familiarise yourself with it, the more you see and walk in the path of your glorious destiny with clarity. The more you obey the words of the Spirit you hear in your everyday life - with perceptual assimilation, the more you develop your spirit to assess His articulation skills.
In my conclusive exhortation, to give your life to Christ, and become a triune sheep, please declare the prayer of salvation below with all your heart. Shalom!
I acknowledge today that God demonstrated His unconditional love for me in this: While living without Christ, He sent Him ahead of time to die for me. Therefore I repent and renounce the nature of sin and I accept Jesus as my Saviour. I believe and confess with all my heart that Jesus is the Son of the true living God, who died for me and was raised from the dead on the third day by God. I affirm that Jesus is risen and He's alive forever. I accept Him into my heart and I declare His Lordship over my life forever. I'm now born again as a new creation. I have eternal life: my present-moment reality. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me and taking full charge of my life, as my Lord. GLORY TO GOD!
