One thing is sure: The Bible says-

(NLT) Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

By reading two translations of the same Scripture, the understanding it conveys denotes that masturbation is sin against the body and against God. It sinfully affects the body because it is a sin a person commits within the body, not outside the body.

The only time such practice could never be called a sin is in a true marital relationship where both husband and wife are fully and cordially involved at the same time, which is their marital business.
