THE FATHERS IN WHOM GOD DELIGHTED - PART 10

TUESDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2025

I once spoke to a nice, young man, in a serene environment, which was not too long ago; a "fair looking" man whose Christian faith exemplifies a very gloomy or woebegone essence. I asked him about the church he attended, and about his walk with God, and he said to me, "As for church, I attend a Pentecostal church, but as for being God's best choice, speaking in tongues and walking with Him, I know next to nothing about it."

Considering his sincere response, we can acknowledge that his delight in his salvation is almost assumed as the "inconvenience or nuisance" of a religious interest. This is quite true about many a person who is a Christian. Some of us don't even know who we are, let alone acknowledging and functioning steadily with the cognizance of the truth that we are God's own choice and most prized possession.

As for you reading this, in a deliberate or purposeful manner, the nature of your divine consciousness should be firmly rooted in God's delight and unconditional love, a feasibility of objectives which inspired or motivated Him to make us His choicest treasure. More below!

Reference: Deuteronomy 10:15 New King James Version (NKJV)

"The LORD delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day."

Understanding and embracing the truth that I'm chosen above all peoples have been a transformative experience in my journey of Christian faith. It is an inward witness that has empowered me to shed off the burden of seeking any human approval even from a very young age, and to confidently prioritize God's divine acceptance above all things, and in all earthly matters.

To be precise, I got rid of such putative interest as a teenager during my Sunday school classes, where I purposefully discovered the strength of God's enduring investment in me, known as great delight and loving satisfaction. Thus, at such tender age, I was already radiating the genuine glory of a chosen descendant of Abraham because I heard it clearly.

Have you ever sat alone to imagine the inspiring insight noted in Deuteronomy 4:37 which reads, "Because He loved your fathers, He chose their descendants after them. And He personally brought you from Egypt by His great power" (NASB)? I sometimes wonder about God's love for Israeli descents in my closet, and if I could do so, I believe that the same love should often propel them to throb with enthusiastic worship and high nobleness of energetic "heavenward" cheerfulness. Of a certain assurance, God's love for our forefathers is the underlying foundation of all glorious access to Christians' goodness, godly pleasures and goodly heritage.

Another Scripture numbered as Deuteronomy 7:7-8 reads:

"It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set His love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but it is because the Lord loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt" (ESV).

I believe that both Scriptures are self-explanatory. Beloved, mostly important is the truth that God didn't just choose their descendants after them, but mainly, he placed them above all peoples, as it is this day. The adverbial phrase "as it is this day", denotes an "unchanging consistency", meaning that our absolute ascendancy is permanent. This brings me to a quick expository knowledge of the last segment in our referenced Scripture:

"You above all peoples, as it is this day": SUPERIORITY

The chosen ones are quite superior to all other mankind, and so, this is the condition I personally FOUND myself in, after gaining the ardent awareness that I'm formidably chosen by Supreme Deity. This spiritual truth may seem strange to those who do not have the Spirit but it is a powerful truth making a bubbling sound within my precious belly. However, as the chosen generation, you must stand firm in your faith as a superior god on earth, and function accordingly, even among the people of the world who cannot decrypt your Spirit-led transmissions.

Why? God has intelligibly extended His saving grace to all who come to Him and are redeemed through faith in Christ, not just the Jews, who are the first "chosen people". Therefore, you can't afford to abandon your unique superiority which has a great reward; and beloved, to empower you with a fixed awareness, wearing the "garb of superiority" keeps you far from conforming or fitting into societal opinions, or worldly patterns, views and desires. Are you with me?

In my conclusive viewpoint, I earnestly urge you to always operate with a personally-sufficient cognizance of the phenomenal verity that you are not an ordinary person in this ENTIRE universe because God Himself has chosen and called you His best and supremely treasured possession, and then placed you above and beyond any earthy-based influence of all peoples, a strategic position which empowers you to reign in life in a "far-above-all" manner. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Genesis 49:26; Exodus 18:11; 1 King 3:12; Daniel 1:20.

Exuberant Declaration:

I heartily and joyfully embraced my unique and UNQUESTIONABLE superiority which is furnished with the ability to stand tall in my expressive reality as a superior god on earth, far above all peoples, as it is today and always. Blessed be God!
