Reference: Matthew 6:22-23 New Living Translation (NIV)
"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!"
Today's article is still centred on the versified passage below:
"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light."
Is it really true that if your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light? Answer: Yes, but the arrangement of the Lord's wordings has to do with a user-centred approach. In other words, the Lord's designed language was focused on individualistic "responsive" perspective. Simply put, it depends on each one of us.
This is the reason He made it an "open thought" expressiveness. Remember that "If" is a subordinating conjunction, which introduces a condition - indicating that one vital element depends on another. So if your eyes are healthy, this will become the possible, consequential outcome: "Your whole body will be full of light."
Now watch this: The human eye is quite powerful, since the entirety of earthen vessel can be flooded with light because of it. Into the bargain, the relative question that came to mind is "What is the origin of human eye?"
Let's consider it from Biblical exegesis: The Lord God formed the human eye from the dust of the ground, but He made light first during creation, meaning that the eye is supposed to experience light for its existence. So the human eye met the presence of light, not the other way round. Keep this in mind, because it is proportionally related to the divine notion coming below!
The next important question is: What's the mystery behind the eyes being healthy? The unexpected fact you will hear is that it's not really about the eye not experiencing any symptom of disease; its more about using the eye in a disciplined manner. Its about being careful when it comes to what it pays attention to.
When someone can train himself or herself to see and focus on the right things, that's the underlying mystery of an eye being healthy. Again, its NOT really about being medically free from having a diseased eye [or an eye being in an unfortunate condition]. Question: where will your eyes see the right things? The answer is straightforward. You see the right things in the Word, and through it, you are graciously influenced to gain the right perspectives, which are God-inspired (See also 2nd Corinthians 3:18 KJ21).
If the human eye which was introduced by the bodily formation of first Adam, met the presence of light during and after creation, then how and where do you think the new creation will gain a healthy eye that can flood the body system with light? By looking intently into the perfect and eternal Word of God which grants the light of freedom. The book of James rendered it in this manner:
"But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it" (James 1:25 NLT).
Again, what makes an eye a healthy eye? It is what you look at intently, or pay apt attention to. Patently, a healthy eye is favourable, by every means, to the body it is located in. So an eye is in its very best form [healthy], when it is mainly focused on the Word. More so, one can only have and experience healthy eyes when he is truly walking in the light...Are you with me? To that effect, the New Living Translation of Psalm 36:9 reads, "For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see."
The Word of God is the true "Light" that gives light to everyone born into the Kingdom of light. So when your eyes are healthy, your body will be full of light, and "full of light", here is indicative of several forms of light. To instantiate this phenomenal verity, some components of being "full of light" entail transformation, righteousness, dominion, abundance, goodness, healing, health, prosperity, good success, divine provision, peace, safety, sound mind, strong faith, spiritual gifts, exceptional abilities, positive impacts, and more.
Beloved, in addition, when your body is full of light, on account of healthy eyes, it is denotative of the verity that the Word actively dwells with you, and as you internalize it as settling within you, it will definitely shape and position you to be replete with all kinds of light aforementioned, which are readily available for use. More so, a person with a healthy eye can see, behold and encounter wondrous lights in the Word because he is truly walking in the light; for indeed, Lord Jesus, in your light we see diverse light. Stay tuned for part 4. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration:
My eyes are very healthy because I focus on the Word, and the Spirit of God who dwells in me bodily, uses the influence of the Word to saturate my entire body system with the fullness of light. Glory to God!
