Reference: Acts 20:32 New Living Translation (NLT)
"And now I entrust you to God and the message of His grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those He has set apart for Himself."
Today's focus is majored on the second segmentary differentiation namely:
"that is able to build you up"
In essence, the message of God's grace is able to build any born again Christian up. It has the implanted features and qualities that can make your life supremely better, great, glorious, noble, godly, righteous, holy, flourishing, prosperous, meaningful or significant, and the message can guide your decisions aright, and shape you into spiritual and physical alignment with God's best plan and purpose for your life.
Being commended or entrusted to the message of divine grace is a serious big deal because it ensures ultimate reliance on God and His "Word" which is more real than anything else in this world. Yes, the Lord gave us something REAL with the strongest foundation, and it's worth committing fully to. And when you commit to something real, you're not just in for the right outcomes, you're accurately shaping yourself in the process because you're getting built up by divine or eternal truth, which can never fail; it is a reality that abides forever, meaning that it can help you create a life that's progressively excellent and meaningfully impactful in Christ.
As the building up takes effect, you're favourably conditioned to become the very kind of person God has designed you to be because you now live in accordance with His purpose. Guess what! Pauline revelation knowledge reads, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them" (Romans 8:28 NLT). Moreover, to keep investing the Word in you, the fire of your commitment to it must keep burning. So as you embrace your life manual from a serious standpoint, it will cause whatsoever you do to turn out the best.
Now how can I tell that the Word is building me up? And how does it build me up? Before I expound the answer to these two questions, you must gain the accurate understanding that the Word transmits life and establishes its righteous description in a man's life, which facilitates the building up. Yes, the Word of God is alive and active; so it's a life-giving and enduring Word that has a rebuking influence, correcting propensity, sanctifying capability, training practicality and transformative power. All of these concepts will be further explored in my next article. Stay tuned for part 6. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Romans 15:2; Hebrews 3:4; Jude 1:20-21.
Exuberant Declaration:
I think severally about the matchless benefits of God's Word, and I daily yield myself to be built up by the dictates. Praise God!
