Reference: Matthew 19:26 New International Version (NIV)
'Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."'
I'm utterly inspired with a deep sense of the divine pleasure, a realm in which I'm conditioned to experience unspeakable joy, because I have the legal right to demand any good thing from Christ Jesus, according to God's will, and thankfully, I discern and accept the door He opens for me.
Why do we see majority of unbelievers knock else where? This is because Jesus is not acknowledged inside of their hearts. I mean, if you are knocking on a door, and Jesus is not inside, will the door be opened by Him? This is the reason you must understand that not all doors you see on earth are opened by the Lord. And unfortunately, this fact is the reality of some Christians who have abandoned their true identity to knock on doors outside Christ.
For the saints saved by the blood of the Lamb, you must allow the Lord Jesus Christ to grant you access to any door you desire and also, yield to Him as the Lord in charge of it. Jesus Himself encouraged this by saying, "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, He will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture" (John 10:9 NKJV). Therefore, to focus on making your requests known to God alone, means that you are fully committed to pleasing the Lord who lives in you, and also, you live a life that is genuinely separated to Him. It is a life lived apart from doing things the world's way, or according to the flesh, and it's indeed a life lived as being set apart to the Lord.
Johannine literature in accordance with Revelation 4:1 reads, 'After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this..."' (NIV). Who opened this door in heaven? The Lord Jesus Christ! What does the door signify? It signifies the door of revelation.
In the realm of the Spirit, doors don't just open for the "Christian" man, they are made open by the One who holds the key of David, for the "Christian" man who faithfully knocks. So the concentrated effort in heaven is on Christ because that is where the Godhead lies, as well as the mystery key that opens doors of possibilities. All the more so, everything in heaven and on earth revolves around Him.
To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression reads:
"For in Him all things were created: Everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see (visible and invisible) - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together" (Colossians 1:16-17 NIV/NLT).
We are discussing about the supremacy of Christ Jesus, the Holy One -David's key is right there in His hand; He opens doors no one can lock, and locks doors no one can open. This key of David is a mystery that has a profound effect on how Christians knock for open doors in heaven, in accordance with their exercised faith on earth. The mystery offers the right perspective about finding a door to knock on - by being aware of what that door represents in the WORD, and then, perceiving when the door stands open in heaven, just like apostle John, the Elder, looked and found that there was a door standing open in heaven.
All doors in heaven are the product of God's grace, and Christ is called the Branch of the Godhead that brought grace to man on earth. So the doors in heaven are being opened by His power alone. This is the reason we are told to come boldly and approach God's throne of grace with confidence...to find GRACE to help in time of need (see Hebrews 4:16). Got it?
Doors of possibilities are symbolic of manifold graces in heaven; you find the GRACE you need by knocking on any door of possibility you desire, and when that door stands open in heaven, you'll be ushered in by the Spirit, and you'll flourish on earth to God's praise and glory, as a reflection of that grace. Zero wonder Matthew 18:18 reads, "For whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven" (NLT). So any door of supernatural or superlative possibility you contact on earth is first of all opened in heaven, although it will spring up in your world, meaning that it will be suited for your benefits in this present world.
To instantiate this verity, when Paul and Barnabas visited many cities and preached the gospel to countless souls, they called the church together, stayed with them for a while, when they arrived at Antioch, and then, reported all God had done with and through them, how God had welcomed outsiders through the doorway of faith. This is in accordance with Acts 14:27 which reads, "Upon arriving there, they called the church together and reported everything God had done through them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles" (NLT). In line with this versified statement, what door of possibility was opened in heaven for them as they preached? The door of faith!
Beloved, this same open door is the door of superlative possibility that symbolizes a Christian's opportunity to share their faith in Christ, testify of God's love and faithfulness to others, and win them to Christ; we also utilize the door to indulge in good works that glorify God. Beloved, you must gain the understanding that all open doors which are guaranteed by Christ encourage us to uphold a lifestyle that mirrors God's grace in the earth realm. Stay tuned for part 9, as we approach the final parts of this topic. Shalom!
Thank you Lord for the transformative power of your grace, and all the display of your glorious possibilities in my life and in my world at large, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
