SUPERLATIVE POSSIBILITIES - PART 7

THURSDAY 29 AUGUST 2024

Reference: Matthew 19:26 New International Version (NIV)

'Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."'

The versified statement, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" is an assertive communication. It doesn't guarantee that all things will become automatically possible, when you stand with God. So supernatural possibilities don't just happen, there must be an action which must be taken to see the God-kind of possibilities.

To that effect, Jesus Christ Himself said in Matthew 7:7-8 (NLT)

"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."

In line with this Scripture, there are three important aspects of action that set us in motion to receive superlative possibilities and avoid prayerlessness, namely:

1. Keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for:

In other words, keep on demanding, requesting and presenting your petition before the Lord. Pray and be consistent about it. Don't wait to feel prayerful because time may never be just right to pray. Sometime, the Holy Spirit assists you in asking for that desire in the perfect way you should, especially when your energetic humour appears weak - in form of lacklustre attitude. To that effect, Pauline epistolary expression reads, "In the same way the Holy Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God's people in accordance with God's will" (Romans 8:26-27 AMP).

2. Keep on seeking and you will find:

As for seeking, which is in accordance with God's will, it implies that whatever good you are attracted to, you must begin to find and discern the right way to gravitate towards such and be able to meld. There are destiny-changing attractions, and the passion that seeks to attract does not give up until it finds. This also includes seeking untold wealth and the wisdom of God. For instance, the Bible reads, "I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name" (Isaiah 45:3 NIV). For God to give you treasures hidden in the darkness - secret riches, it denotes that such level of riches has captured your imagination and attention, such that you begin to see possibilities He brings your way and be strategically positioned to actualise them.

3. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you:

As you keep knocking with all your heart, the Lord Jesus, who is the true One, and the only One who possesses the key of David that opens the possibilities, will surely attend to you and open the doors of possibilities you desire, so that no one can shut them. He is also, the One who closes all the wrong options so that no one can open them. And He knows you better than anyone else. Therefore, as you keep knocking, He places before you an open door, which no one can shut, such that the Spirit of God will cause events and everything around you, including the people in your world, to favour you accordingly, as well as assist you to see and utilize such possibilities (see Revelation 3:7-8 Voice).

Unbelievers can also unlock the door to their hearts, if you keep sending them the transforming message about Christ Jesus, which is the glorious gospel - until they hear it and activate the reception. Why preach the Gospel to them? The first door of superlative possibility they need to open by themselves is the door of their heart. To that effect, Johannine literature in accordance with the book of Revelation reads, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20 ESV).

Through the shared Gospel, Jesus stands and knocks. If they could just hear the voice of Christ's authority and behold the brightness of His glory, as you keep presenting the gospel to them, they will definitely unlock the door of their heart for Christ to come in. Stay tuned for part 7. Shalom!

Exuberant Declaration:

I am full of the Spirit of the Lord, and my asking, seeking and knocking are all indicative of the truth that with God, all things are possible. Hallelujah!
