STAY WITH GOD; DON'T QUIT

Nothing is so effectual to keep the soul from fainting in the midst of challenges of this present time as nurturing the faith of seeing and enjoying the goodness of the Lord in your world. Come what may, you can always have foresights of God's glory, and foretastes of divine pleasures, if you steadily dwell in His presence. That means, stay with God and don't quit.

Reference: Psalm 27:13-14 The Message (MSG) 'I'm sure now I'll see God's goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don't quit. I'll say it again: Stay with God.'

In NKJV translation, the Psalmist put it this way: 'I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living' (Psalm 27:13). When you stay with God, its not possible to lose heart. Why? because the Psalmist said, 'He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]' (Psalm 91:1 AMP).

It's never God's will for you to place the weight of the world's care on your shoulders. God wants you to cast all your burdens on Him, so He would sustain you because He can never permit the righteous to be moved (Psalm 55:22 NKJV). Some of the people we admire in the Scripture experienced troubling times, in which they felt almost 'worn out'. Jeremiah was one of them. Once he said, 'I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest ' (Jeremiah 45:3 NKJV). But this can only happen when you deviate from God and ignore His presence.

Never become so busy that you skip or forsake your quiet time with God on a daily basis. That's the only way to stay with God and continually host the supernatural in the natural. In your quiet time with God, you are captured and enveloped in the womb of His shadow, such that your safety and welfare are guaranteed. That's where you are positioned to see and enjoy the fruits of God's goodness and faithfulness. It is also where you are able to discern what God is saying to you because you're engaged in an intimate relationship with Him. Note this: Intimate relationships are not built on a hit-and-run basis; they are built over time with trust and constant communication. It is the same with God.

Most people don't seem to realize that they are missing a greater source of benefits than they can possibly imagine, when they ignore spending quality times with God. Each day you say no to 'participating in fellowship with God', you are subscribing to 'spending your time', filling your minds with garbages out there, and with negativities and unyielding recreation. That's the reason you can lose heart and talk fears, instead of maintaining your victory in Christ by speaking faith-filled words.

To reason like a victor and remain victorious in your world, stay with God. By staying with God, you'll automatically respond to circumstances and situations with God's Word and say what God has said concerning them. If you stay with God, you'll reign and rule over circumstances with the Word of faith in your mouth, you'll keep affirming your triumphant life in Christ, and you'll keep experiencing the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Guided Prayer: Heavenly Father, there is so much to gain from learning to spend time in your presence. Thank you today, for teaching me how to live in your presence. I therefore, choose to maintain my quiet times with you on a daily basis, and meditate on your Word to feed my spirit. As the Word continues to work in me, my faith is built strong, my utterances are changed and structured to influence positively, and I gain the right perspective and approach to life's circumstances. By your Spirit, I'm strengthened and energised with might in my inner man, such that I flow with faith-filled words and walk in the realm of boldness, safety, victory and success in Jesus' Name, Amen!
