SHARE WHAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED FROM THE LORD - PART 3
SATURDAY 02 JULY 2022
The Lord always provides us with a treasure trove of relevant divine information concerning our Kingdom heritage. However, it always makes perfect and eternal sense to share the gifts and realities of God's grace, as we receive them. Interestingly, this topic always reminds me of John the Baptist's answer to his disciples: "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven" (John 3:27 NIV). So, this Scripture helps to clearly provide us with an important clue as to how we should treat and respond to divine information since they aren't earthly.
Reference: 1 Corinthians 11:23 New International Version (NIV) "For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread..."
How can you receive from the Lord and not share it? Your failure to share a divinely-inspired information calls your credibility in the Lord into question. How can you wink at spiritual realities, accumulate or amass it for yourself alone and still maintain the flow from its fountain? Haven't you understood that with joy you will draw water from the springs of salvation, and on that day you will say: "Give praise to the LORD; proclaim His name! Make His works known among the peoples; declare that His name is exalted.…" (Isaiah 12:3-4 NIV). Did you get it? As you draw from the benefits of salvation which is from the Lord, what do you do with it? Give thanks and share the testimony with others; yes declare it and make it known among the saints. Indeed this is a clarifying Scripture, confirming the same definition of receiving and sharing accordingly. However, I'm not talking about personal vision or specific word from God concerning an individual but rather spiritual truths and revelation.
The benefit of enjoying the ministry of the Spirit is summed up in giving and sharing what you have received. The effectiveness of receiving from the Lord and distributing it, has been proven to bring a lasting change in the body of Christ and in an ever-demanding present world. Now you can believe, receive and enjoy a more abundant spiritual blessing and also become a blessing to your world by sharing it. The mystery of flowing in God's supply of any divine revelation is two-fold: Receiving and sharing! As you receive from God with thanksgiving, He expects you to share the supply. That way, you become effective in the things of the Spirit, with the sense that what you are delivering is eternal reality.
Receiving from the Lord starts from the point of salvation because on the basis of Christ's sacrifice on the cross, we received forgiveness and justification through faith in Him. Now if you have received salvation in Christ, you belong to Him. And here's the mystery behind this weighty Scripture: Galatians 3:29 (NIV) - "If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Firstly, understand that we are Abraham's seed. Secondly, we are heirs according to the promise. Notice the phrase, "according to the promise." Now watch this: What are the dictates of the promise? Genesis 12:3-4 (NKJV) - "I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing...And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." This is exactly where the principle of receiving and distributing what is received was divinely initiated. As the very seed of Abraham, we receive from the Lord to become a blessing to others. Hallelujah!
Finally beloved, the Bible says, "Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them" (Matthew 13:12 NIV). In a nutshell, as you receive and share, more will be given to you, but he that hoards what he receives, even that which is received will be taken away from them. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:8; Hebrews 13:16.
Guided Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you because sharing your Word and the understanding of the truth I receive from you is a divine activity that transforms lives. It is always a powerful engagement supporting the notion that whatever I receive is a gift from heaven and as I work at sharing it with all my heart, I establish a transformative view of your glory in my world in Jesus' Name, Amen!
