PREFERENCE - PART 1

Preference is a great treasure which seems to exert unfair bias in favour of one person or thing, as though it is a form of favouritism. But in Daniel's case, it wasn't really a matter of favouritism but a matter of exceptional distinction and quality of being different in spirit, when he was found in a contradistinction to the challenging incident in the process of his training in Babylon. Reference: Daniel 1:20 Amplified Bible (AMP)

"In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the [learned] magicians and enchanters (Magi) in his whole realm."

The above versified reference is a truthful speech and a mark of great distinction between Daniel and all the [learned] magicians and enchanters (Magi) in King's Nebuchadnezzar's palace, the king of Babylon. We all know that the devil is a clever imitator. There is nothing he can't imitate. True wisdom and understanding also have an ersartz production invented by the devil; so the King had the counterfeit in his palace. Then during Daniel's training, God created an opportunity in the palace to separate authentic wisdom and understanding from the spurious claims of such gifted manifestation through negative practices. Got it?

Beloved, I cannot enlighten you of any methodology for discerning what is of the devil and what is of God. But I can assure you that if you have the genuine salvation and precious Holy Spirit from God, He will always open your eyes to what is true and to what is false practices and beliefs. To that effect, Jesus' fiat in John 14:17 reads, "He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn't looking for Him and doesn't recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you" (NIV). The "later" which Jesus referred to, when He made this statement has come, because He has died for mankind, making it possible for anyone to be born again and to receive the indwelling presence of the precious Holy Spirit.

So all I can say is "If you are born again, you must have no business with practising occultism or warlock, such as spell, enchantment, wizardry, sorcery, voodoo, magic, necromancy, divination, incarnation, shaman, conjuring tricks (which is conjuration), mojo, or being a magus." As long as you walk in the Spirit, you'll be very far from such negative and diabolical practices, but rather you'll practise true wisdom and gain the understanding that come from God. Even when you're in the midst of people who engage in practising such negative understanding, especially for evil purposes, He will reveal them to you instantly and also, you'll easily acknowledge when the devil is masquerading himself as having a true virtue from God.

In truth, the wisdom that comes from God teaches that the Lord will never promote any immoral practices or encourage the ugliness of enchantment and divination, even in the midst of encountering any situation that exacerbates, just like King Nebuchadnezzar's plight. James 3:17 reads, "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere" (NIV).
