There's absolutely 'NOTHING' in life we can do, handle or accomplish as Christians without the strength and ability of the Holy Spirit, which is well known for yielding the beneficial outcomes of His divine influences. Therefore, to succeed with God and to always arrive at His results, you have to continually align with the government of His Spirit.

When the Lord Jesus Christ made the promise of the Holy Spirit to us, He said, "When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future" (John 16:13 NLT).

Indeed, the precious Holy Spirit reveals the truthful route to our purposes in Christ. Simply put, the Spirit of truth has the masterplan you require in order to fulfil your glorious destiny. In a nutshell, He already has the history of your future; hence He is your sure guide to it. Therefore, you must refuse to rely just on your own understanding, skills, might or power because the Christ-like life is much more than that. So wise up to the Spirit's presence by holding on to His governing influence. More below!

"But covet earnestly the best gifts:"

I want to say this before I continue today's article in the realm of divine knowledge:

"From human standpoint, the ordinary minds believe that they can never tell what they will encounter in the future or next coming years but for those whose focus and confidence are mindfully rooted in the guidance of the Spirit, their outcomes will always be the full description of God's favour because they know the true Author of their future who fosters what He's heard about it; He has analysed it and is available to help them manifest the journey of their faith in God accordingly and successfully. Yes, He will tell you about the future, and will always remind you that you are of different Species; well distinguished in Christ Jesus! This is the main reason apostle Paul wants you to always live a healthy and glorious Christian lifestyle, by earnestly coveting the best gifts of the Spirit."

I personally think of spiritual gifts as the applications software [apps] of the Spirit that empower the saints to function at the level or on the frequency of His supernatural ability. Now the lists of His gifts-enabled presence are as follows: The word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, gifts of faith, gifts of healings, the working of miracles, or functioning with miraculous powers, gifts of prophesying or prophecy, distinguishing between spirits or discerning of spirits, speaking diversity of phonological utterances or different kinds of tongues, plus interpretation of tongues. Others are gifts of serving or service, gifts of teaching, voice of godly encouragement, generosity based on giving, diligent leadership, administering helps and showing mercy cheerfully.

If we follow Pauline epistolary instruction in our referenced Scripture which reads, "But covet earnestly the best gifts", then we must accept the truth that there are greater or best gifts amongst the listed gifts that will position your purpose to surge to a higher level of spiritual impact on earth, as well as play a more meaningful importance in the development or advancement of your life's assignment. For instance, the gifts of teaching, gifts of faith, gifts of healings, and that of working of miracles are the best branches of spiritual gift to earnestly covet. Without any laconic reservation or dispiriting hesitation, we can tell that these four gifts were hugely manifested by the Lord Jesus Christ while on earth, igniting an awesome wonder and startling inspiration in mankind.
