OCTOBER 2020: MONTH OF OPEN HEAVEN
Beloved, welcome to the Month of Open heaven.
Ezekiel 1:1 - The Heavens were open and I saw the visions of God. As you become conscious of open heaven over your life, your prayers (including your praise and worship times) will usher you into the realm of uncommon vision of the glory of God. The more you access His presence, the more you will command the influence of divine vision and revelation under this open heaven and the more astute you'll become in using them to your advantage. When the glory of God is unveiled to you in His presence, pay attention with reverence, and jot the visions down with clarity of perception.
John 1:51, NIV reads, "He then added, 'Very truly I tell you, you will see 'heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on' the Son of Man'".
When Jesus demonstrated His supernatural wisdom, Nathanael declared Him the “Son of God” and “The King of Israel.” Jesus responded by predicting that he would see more spectacular signs by the influence and mechanism of open heaven. Jesus assured him that he would see 'open heaven' and the 'angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man', the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth. Therefore I declare that signs and wonders shall follow you as you approach the throne of Grace under this open heaven. Angels will ascend and descend to attend to you and carry out your prayer requests. God will surely honour your requests speedily.
Genesis 8:5 (NRSA) reads, 'The waters continued to abate until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared.'
We are familiar with the story of Noah's ark and the flood. After the flood, Noah's ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat on a specific date. As the waters continued to drain, the tops of these mountains became visible. This is so significant that the Bible noted the official timeline (such as the day and the month) the tops of the mountains began to appear or become visible.
What were the sources of the floodwaters? The fountains of the deep & the windows of heaven (See Genesis 8:2 KJV). Both sources were eventually “stopped” by God and the ark rested. This month, Just as the flow of water stopped from “the fountains of the deep (springs) & from the windows of heaven (rain), the root of that problem is judged by God and all-round rest shall become your portion. The windows of heaven will remain open for you and your heart's desires shall be granted.
Above all, my prayer is that God would increase the awareness of His Spirit that is already active within you, such that your spiritual antenna will be receptive to the signals and benefits of Open Heavens over His people this very month of October, in JESUS' NAME, (AMEN)
