MIND ORIENTATION - FINAL PART

SATURDAY 30 NOVEMBER 2024

Proverbs 16:3 reads, "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans" (NIV), which implies that our good plans are acceptable before God on the basis of our relational lifestyle with Him, such that in the secret place of His glorious presence, those good plans are woven into an established reality, which then shall be fully manifested unto us. This is simply because God is the One working in us both to will and to work according to His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13 BLB). More below!

Reference: Romans 12:2 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

The good, acceptable and perfect will of God do not exert ordinary possibilities. In your eagerness to guard your moral responsibility, do not conclude that the divine motives behind the good and acceptable will of God are not good enough and therefore, will not influence or establish moral actions and Kingdom results.

By reasonable assumption, if the least of God's will is good, then the acceptable and perfect will are superb and superlative, denoting that none of the three is a bad will. His perfect will is simply remarkable and exceptionally good, but they all symbolize spiritual and physical prerequisite or necessity, because in Christian ethics, they merge with the attribution of all true human virtue - under the operation of supernatural grace, as well as with the efficacy and accuracy of our Scriptural understanding that give us the essential spiritual elements in our analysis of moral consciousness.

So as Christians, we simply have a privileged access to discern all aspects of God's will, from both mental and practical standpoint, which is a good reason to transcend beyond the facts of circumstances, beyond ordinary mind, and beyond the fleshly desires, by unwavering faith in Christ, and with a real free-will to practise morality, in order to ensure the manifestation of this uncommon essence of divine life (God's will) on earth.

Beloved, God's will are perceptible by spiritual comprehension as we study and cogitate on His Word with ardent alacrity. To instantiate this verity, Petrine epistolary dictate numbered as 1st Peter 2:15 reads, "For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people" (NIV). And another Scripture reads, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" (1st Thessalonians 5:18 KJV).

Did you know that the above versified passages are at the same time - good, pleasing and perfect will of God? They fall under all the categories of God's will. Here is the challenge: It is one thing to know the will of God at any category, including His embedded plan in the will, and it's another thing to enact and establish it in your own life and world through obedience, persistent prayer and by listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit at any given time. So the actual prayer is for every one of us to permit His will to be done in our lives on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10 NIV), and then we go ahead and do it cheerfully in the external world.

More so, the undefinable essence of the force moving us to action the will of God at any level or point in time is our genuine love for God and our profound willingness to see His good, pleasing and perfect will and purpose inevitably established on earth because we are directly conscious of them. Now may the God of peace...equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:20-21 NIV). Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Jeremiah 29:11; 1 Timothy 2:3-4; Hebrews 10:36; 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

Guided Prayer:

Thank you my precious heavenly Father because I have the progress of conviction concerning your good, pleasing and perfect will for my life in Christ Jesus, and I constantly experience the grand manifestation of your perfect plan for my life by the enabling influence of the Holy Spirit, which is beyond human understanding in Jesus' Name, Amen!
