LET THERE BE LIGHT - PART 3

WEDNESDAY 12 JUNE 2024

Let there be light! The word, "Let" means, "nothing must prevent or forbid." In other words, God spoke to contrary scenery and opinions to allow it to happen. Sometimes, negative people and contrary forces may never allow light to emerge; so you must be determined to establish expected light, having been strategically positioned in Christ to let light be, and there would be light. More below!

Reference: Genesis 1:3 New International Version (NIV)

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

Today, I am going to expound how to switch on spiritual light in any aspect of life, when its needful. If you are in a state of perplexity or uncertainty over what to do in a difficult situation, you need a meticulous light, with a clear-cut objective.

Why? Being in quandary or unfavourable situation which is contrary to God's perfect will for you - can be likened to roaming in state of darkness. You don't have to accept such kismet as God's will for you. So when you're in the dark concerning what to do, then let there be light, meaning that a light of dominion is required.

Light of dominion here denotes the overpowering control and transforming influence ascribed to God's truth. So what is God's truth concerning that specific state of darkness? If the state of darkness is sickness or diseased infirmity, then locate the informative analysis based on divine healing and health in the Scriptures. For instance, the Bible says, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed" (NKJV). Beloved, that's a light required in that state of darkness known as sickness or disease.

What do you do next? let your light so shine! The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 reads, "...let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (NIV). Notice that this versified statement says, "let your light shine..." In other words, that "healing" Scripture is your light; you've got to personalise it and establish it to replace the "ill health" situation - by verbalising it dedicatedly, prayerfully and cogitatively. Let that Scripture shine in the darkness of sickness, until you experience perfection in your health condition, such that men will see what has taken place and praise God. Establishing a divine healing or perfect health is a good deed that attracts men's attention that is worthy of giving quality praise to God, which ascends to heaven to the glory to God.

To that effect, Isaiah 58:8 reads:

"Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard" (NIV).

In a most certain affirmation, Johannine literature according to the Gospel of John says, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" (John 1:5 NIV). Beloved, the Word of God is your light and your salvation. And if indeed, you let your light shine, the darkness of ill-health will speedily expire. Therefore, let it shine persistently because that light is your salvation.

This also applies to divine provision. When you locate a Scripture concerning any provision you require, you are in for God's favoured attention and plethora of His provision. For instance, 2nd Corinthians 9:8 reads, "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work" (NIV). You can engage this truth as your light of divine provision.

Why am I particularly insistent in emphasizing the intervening principle that makes the difference by establishing desired light in any area of darkness, within the shortest time frame?  Psalm 119:130 has the answer: "The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (NIV). To unfold is to unwrap, expound or to spread out; it is to open, as anything covered or close; to lay open to view or contemplation; to bring out in all the details - by the order of breakthrough or successive development. It is to display; to disclose; to reveal; to unveil; to divulge, to uncover; to elucidate or to explain. So the Scripture is making reference to an Expositor's office and his functional ability and skills, in spiritual field of expository cognizance. Got it?

The New King James Version used the term, "Entrance." The full context reads, "The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple." Entrance here implies, "Digging deep or delving into the Word, as in, a thorough examination and investigation into the details involved." That way light will suddenly emerge and grant accurate understanding to the "open mind." Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Isaiah 42:16; Psalm 119:105; Matthew 5:14; Ephesians 5:8.

Exuberant Declaration:

Let there be light in all aspects of my life, and now, there is light, for all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "Yes!" And through Christ, my "Amen" establishes my desired light, as an unusual prosperity and flourishing conditions in my life - to the glory of God. Praise God!
