LEGENDARY ADVANCEMENT - PART 1

In today's article, I'm introducing the new year's message namely, Legendary Advancement. In Zechariah chapter one, there were two visions that came to prophet Zechariah, but the main focus is on the first vision. On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month (Feb 15, 519 b.c.), which was the month Shebat, in Darius' second year of reign, the Lord's message came to the prophet Zechariah, son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo:

In the night I saw [a vision] and behold, a Man was riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees that were in the ravine; and behind Him were horses: red, sorrel (reddish-brown), and white.

The introduction to the first vision was all about a man among the myrtle trees in the ravine, and then, behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses. More below!

Reference: Zechariah 1:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

"Again proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem."'

Zechariah: Then I said, "O my lord, what are these?" And the angelic messenger who was speaking with me said, "I will show you what these are." And the Man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said,

"These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to go throughout the earth and patrol it." And the men on the horses answered the Angel of the Lord who stood among the myrtle trees and said, "We have gone throughout the earth [patrolling it] and behold, all the earth sits at rest [in peace and free from war]" (Zechariah 1:10-11 AMP).

In the above versified passage, the riders then agreed with the angel of the Lord, who was standing among the myrtle trees, "We have been walking about on the earth, and now everything is at rest and quiet." Got it? Then the angel of the Lord asked, "O Lord of Heaven's Armies, how long before you have compassion on Jerusalem and the other cities of Judah that you have been so angry with for these seventy years?" The Lord then addressed good, comforting words to the angelic messenger who was speaking to me. Turning to me, the messenger then said, "Cry out that the Lord of Heaven's Armies says, 'I am very much moved for Jerusalem and for Zion. But I am greatly displeased with the nations that take my grace for granted. I was a little displeased with them, but they have only made things worse for themselves' (Zechariah 1:12-15 NET).

As I go ahead with this vital introduction, I want to bring our attention to the verity that the Lord was greatly displeased with the nations that took His grace for granted. And I am purposeful in mentioning this discovery because God's grace is a divine mystery and a powerful concept of light which brings people's souls back into alignment with their Maker. Therefore, grace should never be taken for granted.

Now watch this: There was a response from God which reads -

'I have become compassionate toward Jerusalem and will rebuild my temple in it.' 'Once more a surveyor's measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem. 'Speak up again with the message of the Lord of Heaven's Armies: 'My cities will once more overflow with prosperity, and once more the Lord will comfort Zion and validate his choice of Jerusalem"' (Zechariah 1:16-17).

In literal sense, the Lord will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there His house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem." In the context of this versified statement, God will favour Jerusalem again and His house shall be built in it; figuratively, the measuring line which has been stretched out over, signifies that the rebuilding operation is already staked out, and so, the measurement has been marked off by line.

This very response is the reason behind my new year's message [Legendary Advancement] that came to me as the Word of the Lord. Highly esteemed advancement is your testimony this year, which will effortlessly manifest in your life and world on the strength of God's grace and faithfulness. Stay tuned for the successive parts of this wonderful topic. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Numbers 35:6; 2 Chronicles 17:19; Psalm 46:4; 2 Chronicles 21:3.

Guided Prayer:

To gracious God, owner of the greatest Kingdom and cities characterised by divine reign, I honour you today and always, for your goodness and mercy and for the heritage of legendary advancement which you have graciously established in my lifetime, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
