JUNE 2020: MONTH OF ANGELIC ASSISTANCE (2)
ANGELS AT YOUR SERVICE - PART 2
Hebrews 1:14 (NIV): "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"
Angels are assigned to protect, encourage and guide us. They are created for humans. They are amazing beings, but there are also the fallen angels. Remember, when Jesus cast demons out, they sometimes begged Jesus never to torture or torment them. That fear was an emotional expression because they can feel a torture (see Matthew 8:29; Luke 8:28).
Angels are messengers. They do much more than delivering messages from Heaven. In fact they praise and glorify God in heaven. Angels aren't just nice, kindly beings, they are also the mighty and powerful warriors of God. Many people have said, 'I don't feel the presence of angels in my life. They are not so evident.' Others say, 'I do not experience angelic services at all.' First, this is often because they don't cultivate the awareness. Second, angels don't live inside of us, like the Holy Spirit does. They are external agents; so they function outside of your system.
This is the reason you must train yourself to speak life, by dwelling and meditating on the Word. Angels are prompted to action by the Word you speak. Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) says, 'Death and life are in the power of the tongue.' Again remember that angels only obey the voice of God's Word (Psalm 103:20 ESV). This means that you must train yourself to say the right things. If you've been saying the wrong things, such as, 'I'm dying of this pain'; 'this headache is killing me'; I'm afraid, I'm going to fall sick', angels are not going to honour those speeches. They only attract negative forces.
The last time you found yourself in a challenging situation, what actually came out of your mouth? The degree of angelic assistance you experience depends on the conscious awareness of the words you verbalise. That's the reason it's important that you store the Word of God in your heart richly. Matthew 12:35 (KJV) reads, 'A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.'
For your angels to perform, store the Word in your heart, so that you can always give the Word a voice. Learn to speak out God's Word! Hebrews 13:5-6 (NIV) says, '….because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid..."' We must respond to God's voice in the Scriptures because that's what the angels establish in our lives.
From today start working on getting your heart filled with the abundance of God's Word, so that no matter what comes at you, there'll be an outburst of the Word declarations from your mouth, thereby activating the ministry of Angels on your behalf.
God bless you,
