HOW TO GAIN PROFITABLE WISDOM - PART 1

I'm grateful to be a blessing to my world by introducing a new topic, namely, "How to gain profitable wisdom", an important actionable measure or course of action which is summed up in our referenced Scripture below.

Reference: Proverbs 2:1 Common English Bible (CEB)

"My son, accept my words and store up my commands."

From a firm sense of acknowledgement, God never tells us to try His words to see if they will work. He tells us to accept them as His words, and then, store up His commands. Once His commands are stored up, they become an automatic authority within, and by that authority, you'll be committed to them, attending to them by doing them. Although Malachi 3:10 tells us to prove Him by bringing all the tithe offerings, it is still a command. God never calls us to try His words by observing them experimentally.

Therefore, in order that divine wisdom might be duly formed and established in us, and yield its beneficial effects in our lives, there is need to embrace God's words as an authoritative instruction or directive, and allow it to become our utmost guidance in our earthly operations. To that effect, our referenced Scripture reads, "My son, accept my words and store up my commands."

Who wrote our referenced Scripture?

The author of Proverbs chapter 2 is King Solomon, the wisest king of Israel. Having prayed for wisdom from God, which was swiftly granted, He spoke about three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. From all nations people came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom (See 1 Kings 4:32-34 NIV).

Proverbs chapter 2 is replete with amazing wordings of inspiration that grant access to an appropriate wisdom profitably useful and applicable to all situations of life. The first 8 verses which will be considered as our major focus within the structural sense or knowledge of this topic literally reads:

My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you, So that your ear is attentive to [skillful and godly] wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding [seeking it conscientiously and striving for it eagerly]; Yes, if you cry out for insight, And lift up your voice for understanding; If you seek skillful and godly wisdom as you would silver And search for her as you would hidden treasures; Then you will understand the [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] And discover the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives [skillful and godly] wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores away sound wisdom for the righteous [those who are in right standing with Him] He is a shield to those who walk in integrity [those of honorable character and moral courage], He guards the paths of justice; And He preserves the way of His saints (believers)... [Proverbs 2:1-8 AMP].

If you know the weight of glory associated with embracing God's words, and storing them up in your heart as divine wisdom, which is the grand subject of the glorious Gospel, you'll be very ardent to action our referenced Scripture and apply your heart to the understanding it conveys.
