GOD'S DEPTH AND BOUNDLESS WISDOM - PART 1

THURSDAY 20 OCTOBER 2022

Within the circumference of your spiritual age, have you ever thought of anything quite like the vastness of deep wisdom and extraordinary knowledge of God? Can you fathom how unsearchable His judgements and His ways are? Is there anyone of us who can explain the depth of God and His boundless wisdom? Can you trace everything in His mind or counsel Him? The question is ongoing but let's find out more even as the Spirit of truth inspires.

Reference: Romans 11:33-36 New King James Version (NKJV) "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counsellor?" "Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him?" For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen."

As the sons of God, we are to continue to grow strong in grace and in spiritual truth, functioning as vigorous Christians. How? By delving into the depth of God's wisdom and knowledge as vast as we can. The Scripture says, "How unsearchable are His judgement and His ways which are past finding out!" Consider it pure joy, my brothers and my sisters, when you begin to travel far into the space and immeasurable analysis of God's depth because you know that it builds your faith muscles and develops your spiritual awareness or perception to an intense degree. Therefore, a mind that has a singleness of interest in the deep knowledge of God, will also sustain a prevailing regard for its spiritual and eternal significance, and that will keep him steady in the purposes of God. Beloved, we grow wise in this life through our daily exposure to the riches of wisdom and knowledge of God, as we continue fervently in devotion to God and rise above trials and oppositions.

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" This is what part one of this topic is all about. When our faith and spirits rise and soar higher upon the foundation of divine wisdom and knowledge, we are seriously making progress in the realm that matters - spiritual realm! Firstly, we must understand that the depth of the riches of God's wisdom and knowledge is like a bottomless pit. The more you dig into it, the more you notice or realise its endless and infinite measure.

For a start, let's consider the very dimension of God's wisdom that created this world. In this popular chapter, Job 38 (NKJV), the Lord addressed Job's curiosity out of the whirlwind, saying: "Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? "Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb; when I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band; When I fixed my limit for it, and set bars and doors..." The question continued until the end of the chapter.

However, to gain the personal benefits of divine experience in God's depth - training, improving and exercising your spiritual senses in the Word remain the vital keys to such eternal gain. Your interest in this sort of knowledge will not only grant you uncommon infiltration and ready insight into the realities of supreme Divinity, it will also encourage and develop your self-efficacy in applying the Word to your advantage. May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the deep knowledge of the Almighty (Ephesians 1:17 NIV). Stay tuned for part 2. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Proverbs 2:6; 2 Peter 3:18; Proverbs 24:5; James 1:5.

Exuberant Declaration: The eternal and supreme God is my portion and heritage. Oh the greatness, the sovereignty, the power, the glory, and the majesty of God: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is the Lord's doing. Daily, I attain to a more perfect knowledge of and intimate acquaintance with the Ancient of days. By His Spirit of wisdom and revelation, I get to know Him better and I make progress in the perception and practice of the Word. Hallelujah!
