GOD MADE US ALIVE IN CHRIST - PART 4

Today's article is majored on the position God has placed us with Christ. He didn't just make us alive in Christ, but also seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Let's find out more!

Reference: Ephesians 2:4-6 New Living Translation (NLT) "But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!). For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus."

The three stages of God's mercy and love richly demonstrated in this great topic are: 1. God saved us by His grace. 2. He gave us life when He raised us along with Christ, from the dead. 3. He seated us with Christ in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

Our union with Christ elevated us to the greatest position in the heavens. In other words, we are highly ranked with Christ. Hallelujah! To me, it is such a holy thing, meaning that it is a consecration that denotes a hearty concord with the Godhead. What a brotherly unity with Divinity!

Ephesians 1:20-22 (KJV) records that, "God raised Christ from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church..." However its important to understand the reason we are seated with Christ at utmost level of authority. To be seated in the heavenly realms with such a calibre of perfection and Majesty, is to be highly fitted or placed to walk with God and live a life characterised by His ever-increasing glory. It is to be set apart for heavenward direction or trajectory; a life that knows no limits on earth. This implies that there is nothing indeed, as profitable and honourable, as being united with Christ.

In the world, we hear that people climb the ladder or become increasingly relevant over time but in Christ, our union with Him instantly positions us in the heavenly realms with Him. We don't need to climb the ladder or strive to rise to such position; all we require is to create or develop the awareness within and on the outside. By this, I mean that even a Christian who has newly accepted Christ and is able to swiftly cultivate the consciousness of his position in the heavenly realms with Christ, will never find conflict within himself, as per his superiority. As long as his faith grows from strength from strength in Christ, he can always overcome the world, and walk in absolute dominion, just like an old-time Christian who has been practising His dominion in Christ resolutely.

Therefore as a Christian who is now enlightened by this timeless truth, how are you supposed to respond? Deliberately cultivate an independent self-awareness of the existing system of your association with Divinity in the heavenly realms - as a new creation. Your immense, personal revelation of this union with Christ will effortlessly empower you to overcome any challenge that comes your way and nullify any devilish plots and their source. However, you don't just wake up to develop the fixed consciousness; you only actualize it by growing in grace and in the knowledge of Christ. To that effect, 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV) says, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."

Finally, I thank God for the efficacy of Christ's death, which procured for us, the remission of sins, as well as the power behind His resurrection and our redemption which afforded us the right to be seated with Christ in the heavenly realms because we are united with Him. Shalom!
