FAR ABOVE ALL RULE - PART 3

WEDNESDAY 10 JULY 2024

Being seated with Christ at God's right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, is not chained to the limitations of human reasoning and understanding. If you are a born again Christian, you are fully divine and "divine power" is hugely working in you; therefore, don't ever let your divine nature be latent in you.

Be reminded that Petrine epistolary platitude numbered as 2nd Peter 1:4 says, "...He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires" (NIV). In other words, the great and precious promises in the Word are a source of moral power that enables you to activate your divinity (divine nature) on earth. Got it? More below!

Reference: Ephesians 1:20-21 New International Version (NIV)

"...and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come."

I am here to liberate the treasure and latent energy of your divine nature which may have been condensed by earthly concerns or worldly opinions and pressure. Firstly, don't be taciturn in spiritual matters like your status in Christ Jesus; make it a bold confession. This is because significant triumphs in the realm of spiritual life are dependent on engaging the boundless influence of heavenly realms where Christ is, with your "mindset" expressions and "verbal" agreement. To that effect, Colossians 3:1-3 reads, "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God" (NIV).

Before God raised Christ from death and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, the mother of the Zebedee brothers came with her two sons and knelt before Jesus with a request. What was the request? We can locate it in the context of the Scriptural passage below:

Jesus, now well on the way up to Jerusalem, took the Twelve off to the side of the road and said, "Listen to me carefully. We are on our way up to Jerusalem. When we get there, the Son of Man will be betrayed to the religious leaders and scholars. They will sentence him to death. They will then hand Him over to the Romans for mockery and torture and crucifixion. On the third day He will be raised up alive. It was about that time that the mother of the Zebedee brothers came with her two sons and knelt before Jesus with a request. "What do you want?" Jesus asked. She said, "Give your word that these two sons of mine will be awarded the highest places of honor in your kingdom, one at your right hand, one at your left hand." Jesus responded, "You have no idea what you're asking." And He said to James and John, "Are you capable of drinking the cup that I'm about to drink?" They said, "Sure, why not?" Jesus said, "Come to think of it, you are going to drink my cup. But as to awarding places of honour, that's not my business. My Father is taking care of that." (Matthew 20:17-23 MSG).

I believe that the above versified passage is self-explanatory. Jesus rightly answered James and John that being seated together with Him in the highest realms of honour in God's kingdom was not in His hands to decide. In other words, the thrones to His right and His left are not within the jurisdiction of His decision to grant. God, the Almighty Father, decides that and has already given those seats to those for whom they have been prepared.

Today, by the special grace of God, we have been raised from the dead along with Christ and God has seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. Those seated with Christ in the highest places of honour also include the two Zebedee brothers, just as their mother requested, because God has made it happen. Stay tuned for part 4. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Acts 2:33; Philippians 2:9-10; Ephesians 2:6; James 1:9-10.

Exuberant Declaration:

In Christ Jesus, I am clothed with dignity and honour, as a full partaker of the divine nature, and my life is conformable to the glorious results of my divine encounters. I'm certainly unique, rightfully justified and entirely set apart for God's Kingdom purpose on earth. Praise God!
