Through the enabling grace of God, born again Christians have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light, where they have become subjects of the greatest King eternal, and are operating under a different set of supernatural laws of the Spirit of life, on account of belonging to a divine family. Reference: John 1:16 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
"For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace."
Romans 5:1-2 reads, "Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed). Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power]" (AMP).
Beloved, we've been justified by faith such that we are righteous before God through the saving strength of His right hand, namely, grace. Therefore, let us continue to rejoice in our salvation and set up our banners in the name of the Lord, because through Him, we have permanent access to God by faith - into this remarkable state of grace in which we firmly, safely, and securely stand. Now we are under the dispensation of grace (Read Ephesians 3:2-12 KJV), for Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in Him are made right with God (see Romans 10:4 NLT).
Moses stated that the law's way of making a person right with God requires obedience to all of its commands, but the faith's way of becoming right with God is by His amazing grace. Christ, having delivered and redeemed those under the law of sin and death, transferred them into the Kingdom of light, to enjoy the beneficial privileges of being saved and sanctified by the blood of the Lamb.
Hence, one prevailing impression indelibly stamped on my mind is that I am holy and fully acceptable unto God, and I function by reason of His GRACE which has appeared on earth, and has positioned me to consciously focus all my living energies and empowered expressions on serving God in Spirit and in truth.
Now that you are aware you are standing on grace, having obtained its access by faith in Christ, what does the "standing" mean to you? Firstly, it gives a sense of significant composure and energized confidence in God. Secondly, it bespeaks firm principle - on the basis of justice and righteousness. In other words, grace is a firm foundation for a system of truth that upholds righteousness, justice, holiness, godliness and God's standard of virtuous reasoning.
It is through GRACE that we have received a reputable and dependable knowledge of God, and of His beloved Son, namely Christ. To that effect, John 1:18 reads, "No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is Himself God, is near to the Father's heart. He has revealed God to us" (NLT). Stay tuned for the denouement conclusion of this topic. Shalom!
By the special grace of God, I was transplanted from the kingdom of darkness, which is indicative of domain of sin, ignorance, and misery, to the Kingdom of light. Through Christ, I have gained constant rewarding access to the influence of God's presence by faith, and I experience the uncommon manifestation of His excellence and power in my life by standing firm on His grace. Praise God!
