DON'T FORGET HIS GOODNESS - PART 1

MONDAY 23 MAY 2022

A living witness to the goodness of God always expresses a notable impact, accompanied by divine authority than a mere storyteller, who is void of an experiential knowledge of it. As a Christian, you have to personally witness or encounter the wondrous acts of God in order to become an effective, true witness. Moreover, the authenticity of your testimony and its impact in other people's lives depend on the level of your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Beyond doubt, it takes an in-depth partaking of His life and divine nature, to keep experiencing the miraculous in your life.

Reference: Psalm 78:11 Amplified Bible (AMP) "And they forgot His [incredible] works And His miraculous wonders that He had shown them."

You'll be more able to face any situation and challenge and successfully overcome them when you know and understand how to remind God of His past goodness and mercy towards you. This is the same with testifying openly about His miraculous deeds in your life. Psalm 105:1-2 (NIV) reads, "Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts." Admittedly, the truth is that we're in a better frame of mind to advance in life and to handle new challenges if we have been fond of testifying about His past deeds and miraculous wonders.

The goodness and wondrous acts of God can be continually reproduced through an attitude of thanksgiving and sharing testimonies, driven by prior divine experiences and encounters with God. To every true Christian, an experienced miracle is God's special revelation of Himself to you which you cannot obtain by any other means. Therefore to help you retain or sustain the flow of the miraculous, you must subscribe to the reality of rehearsing the description of past miracles before others often enough.

Psalm 103:2 (NLT) says, "Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me." Sometimes when the great deeds of God's favour become very common among us, the popularity of their manifestation can make us lose respect for their peculiarity and so the great interpretation of their amazement can hide its real texture because of familiarity. Decisively, we must treat miracles as spectacular and awe-inspiring phenomena because they are rare remarkable experiences, worthy of ardent admiration or respect.

As you walk with God, you must train yourself to see every supernatural experience as a priceless and mind-numbing mystery given to you to enjoy. Don't ever minimize the awareness of your miraculous encounters, but rather desire to unfold the impressive thoughts and lessons from them by sharing them with others as your testimony. What did the Bible say about the power of Christian's testimony? Revelation 12:11 (NIV): "They triumphed over him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..."

Beloved, your word of testimony is an efficacious supernatural technique for triumphing over the enemy's attack, accusation, wiles and schemes from time to time. Therefore, don't ever form a bad habit of forgetting about God's goodness and His miraculous wonders after experiencing them because they are evidences or proofs that shame the devil when testified. And guess what! They put the devil where he actually belongs- under your feet. Also, when others gain the knowledge of the facts in your testimony and the honesty and wonder that accompany your divine experience, they are moved to glorify God with you, as well as position themselves to believe God for similar encounter in their own lives. Shalom!

Scripture Reading - Deuteronomy 32:18; 1 Chronicles 16:12; Psalm 71:15-17; Mark 5:19.

Guided Prayer: Dear Father in heaven, hallowed is your name, for you are greatly revered and honoured in my heart. Indeed you are a miracle-working God, always performing great and excellent wonders. Gracefully, all it takes is a moment of the miraculous in my life for my testimony to gush forth and be revealed as a whirlwind of awe-inspiring impact. I speak of all your wonders day and night and by doing so, I keep a good account of your goodness and mercy as I advance in life, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
