Reference: Isaiah 42:20-21 GOD'S WORD® Translation (GW)

"Seeing many things, but you do not observe; Opening the ears, but He does not hear. The LORD is pleased because He does what is right. He praises the greatness of His teachings and makes them glorious."

Today's article is still focused on the versified segmentary statement below:

"Seeing many things, but you do not observe; Opening the ears, but He does not hear."

To see many things and observe them, and to open the ears, and hear clearly - are an unmistakable function of a special intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit because He helps us with the accurate interpretation and authoritative clarification of eternal verities.

When you study the Scriptures with your spiritual eyes open, you can gain a clear observation and acute cognizance or perception of the hidden mind of God, which is the true or deeper meaning of that Biblical truth that seems to be obscure to others. To that effect, the Bible reads, "He went on to open their understanding of the Word of God, showing them how to read their Bibles this way" (Luke 24:45 MSG). This is a powerful assurance of the readiness of God's Spirit to open our minds and give life to the written Word, as we yield to His influence from an interactive standpoint, so we could often capture that which is beneficially revelational, as we read and understand the Scriptures.

When your inner ears are open to assimilate what you've observed and perceived, you internalize the Word, such that it will come alive in you to guide your thoughts and actions - leading to corresponding outcomes. To that effect, Mark 4:23-24 reads, 'Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand. Then he added, "Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given - and you will receive even more"' (Mark 4:23-24). Spiritual understanding becomes significantly actualised when a revealed truth is properly heard and digested through the enabling influence of the Holy Spirit.

Remarkably, the Holy Spirit is the agent of truth that unveils divine mysteries to our spirit which results in inward spiritual encounters or transformation as well as outward observance of the unveiled. This implies that there is no shortage of insightful analyses concerning any Biblical truth or passage, when the Spirit of truth is involved. However, its only those who delightfully seek to gain the precise knowledge of God in a wholehearted manner that can be receptive to the Spirit-inspired communications. Stay tuned for part 3. Shalom!
