CONSIDER THE LORD JESUS - PART 2

"Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession."

The first segment to be expounded by my humble self who is quite superior in divine nature, considering the level of my life-size spiritual stature with Christ, is:

What is a heavenly calling?

Heavenly calling simply means that we've been called to inherit the Kingdom of heaven, of which Christ is the head. Pauline epistolary platitude numbered as Colossians 1:13 stated that those who are born again Christians have been transferred from one inferior kingdom to a superior Kingdom of the mystery, namely Christ. It literally reads, "For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves..." (NIV).

Did you know that God knew some special people in advance, and positioned them ahead of time, in conformity with the eternal counsel of His perfect will? To instantiate this important verity, Paul says, "For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory" (Romans 8:29-30 NLT).

In other words, God was aware of me before He called me as His special and peculiar treasure, and the greatest of this reality is that He chose me to act and function like JESUS on earth, in all realms of hearty concord and fellowship with the Godhead. So the path to my heavenly calling is by faith in His dear Son, who has given Himself for me on the cross, as an evidential reality of God's  foreknowledge (prognósis in Greek lexicon).

I can't tell you how great I feel each time I remind myself that God already had me in His mind, based on His age-long determined forethought. In keeping with His "forward planning" analysis, He figured me out in the counsel of eternity, well rooted in a careful consideration, as the superior god-man who will happen in the future, as a notable participant in the power of redemption, after Jesus' death, and nothing was able to thwart my heavenly Father's design when He included, approved, qualified and accepted me in His Son. Simply put, the most heightened idea or the sublime ideal notion in God's mind contained in the purpose of Christ's atoning sacrifice is Pastor EJC. I am the evidential possibility of divine nature being made manifest on planet earth, having been created anew in Christ.

Beloved, ponder this truth efficiently: This is not an earthly calling in any way or form; it's a wonderful and glorious calling designed for us to enjoy all the beneficial privileges of those who are fully grounded in the Kingdom of light. Zero wonder, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Ephesians 1:3 reads, "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ" (NLT). Indeed, there's a heavenly realm in Christ Jesus: the Kingdom of heaven, which is already here among us and within us. Those living and functioning in that heavenly realm on earth, are those who have put on Christ. Stay tuned for more on heavenly calling. Shalom!
