BY THE RIGHT WORDS - PART 6

Proverbs 18:20 (ESV)

"From the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach is satisfied; he is satisfied by the yield of his lips."

My expository expressiveness in today's article is still majored on the first segment:

"From the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach is satisfied" 

The mouth, or specifically, the tongue, can build people up and establish them in good success, or harm them, or even cause disorder in their world. So its not just about our ability to communicate or articulate verbal expressions, its more about the implication or symbolism of the nature of speechification being transmitted. 

What do I mean by saying this? I simply mean that what we say or declare on a daily basis matters, because death and life are in the power of tongue. Therefore, we are all left with two choices to choose from. To that effect, I have stated below, three Scriptural insights that specifically instruct us about the two options we have, as it pertains to engaging the viable operation of life or death. They are as follows:

1. Jeremiah 21:8 (NIV)

"Furthermore, tell the people, 'This is what the Lord says: See, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.'"

2. Deuteronomy 30:15 (NLT)

"Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster." 

3. Deuteronomy 30:19 (NLT)

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!"

In the last versified deuteronomical statement, the literal observation of the instructive inference is that its better to choose life in order that you may live. Chosing death is primarily and adaptably connected with living in accordance with the limitations of the universe in respect of time and space. 

Now watch this: If you are favourably instructed to choose life, that means its not always possible for everyone to do so. So as children of God, we must apply the fundamental principles of life, because its not just about gaining the amplification of Biblical theory of knowledge regarding the mystery of life, but also - specialising in "thorough-going" empirical manifestation of Kingdom life on earth by supernatural influence. Are you with me? 

Now if you are in Christ Jesus, you are functioning under the supernatural effects of life, and you ought to acknowledge this truth by absolute cognizance because through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death (see Romans 8:2 NIV).

Moreover, this timeless verity is rooted in transcendent notion which means that its a truth beyond the physical world, because it deals with the fundamental nature of our superior reality - in relation to our existence in time and space, and the causation is last Adam's effects, for He holds the hidden mystery of life in His palms, but we must learn to function with the very consciousness that we chose life at the point of receiving Him as Lord and Saviour. Then what is next? You must live by the principle of life. How? One of the major principles to apply, in connection to manifesting life on earth is noted in the Psalmic version of Davidic inspired utterance which reads:

Psalm 34:12-13 (NLT) 

"Do you want to really live? Would you love to live a long, happy life? Then make sure you don't speak negative words or use deceptive speech."

The Petrine epistolary version numbered as 1st Peter 3:10 reads: 

 For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech" (BSB).

Now what is actually happening in the above versified statement revealed by Petrine epistolary expressiveness? IT TELLS THOSE WHO LOVE LIFE, NOT DEATH, WHAT TO DO. In this Biblical context, the identified expression has to do with those who love life, unlike the Solomonic inspired utterance, that is stated in his Proverbial edition of compiled wisdom:

"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit" (Proverbs 18:21 NIV).

So herein is the contrasting differentiation: The participial phrase in Solomonic proverbial intimation which is "those who love it", is indicative of all of us who have tongue and are utilizing the organ, while the literal phrase, "Whoever would love life and see good days" in Petrine epistolary expression implies THAT those that are willing to embrace and experience the realness of true, good life must function according to the principles involved. 

Beloved, before you can meaningfully enjoy life and its beneficial possibilities in Christ, such as good success and more, you must indulge in a practical demonstration and exhibition of "talking right" in a way that involves energetic appearance and active verbalisation, and talking right should be hinged on declaring advertently, the associated spiritual realities, which mainly involves establishing in your life and world, the light of divine revelations rooted in the Word, come what may.
