Reference: Proverbs 23:23 New International Version (NIV)
"Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction and insight as well."
Today's article is focused on the next versified segment, namely,
"Buy instruction"
Divine instruction is simply defined as versified references that inspire and guide us towards a deeper relationship with God when they are acted upon. They appositely condition us to please God and therefore, recognizing and buying them with their practical approach in operation, can deepen our spiritual comprehension regarding the things of the Spirit, and can also enhance our intimate relationship with Supreme Deity.
In general, we have two main types of instruction, namely, "moral" and "immoral." In the versified passage below, you'll notice my suitably-recommended conversation reporting a description that becomes vivid with the denotation of moral instruction given by Job. It reads:
Then Elifaz the Teimani spoke up and said to Job:
"You have given moral instruction to many,
you have firmed up feeble hands, your words have supported those who were stumbling, and you have strengthened the weak-kneed" (Job 4:3-4 CJB).
The versified statement addressed the point that Job gave many a person moral instruction. By instructing them, he strengthened the weak hands, who must have enacted, applied or put his directives into practice. On account of his moral encouragement, his words held firm the persons who were falling, as well as strengthened the feeble knees.
Plenty of times, spoken words of instruction, when purchased, clarified, applied or executed, can inspire those who are about to quit, and put stumbling people back on their feet. When properly acted upon, such wordings can also implant fresh hope in the mental region and hearts of people who are about to despair in any field of human endeavour.
Moreover, moral instructions are entirely different from the terms: word of comfort, encouragement, exhortation, or an earnest appeal. Specifically, moral instructions are actionable guidance and inferences in Biblical references that empower strong Christian values, leading to ever-productive, typically fruitful, creatively-oriented, powerfully excellent and effective solutions, as well as lasting successful results, and they are symbolic and evocative enough to induce sober reflection.
Now, depending on the intended meaning, especially when they are considered to be carried out in various real-life situations and explained with relevant sense of significance, the latin words for instruction are listed below:
1. Instructio - meaning instruction, admonition, arrangement or training.
2. Doctrina - moral teaching, godly learning and its body of knowledge.
3. Institutio - education, training or instruction.
4. Monitum - an admonition, warning or piece of advice.
5. Praeceptum - a rule, precept, or guiding instruction.
When an instruction is a moral one, it is indicative of the character meaning, disposition, or custom of the person or Deity providing the directives. In the case of this current topic of my expository insight, it is Biblical truths that mainly focus on demonstrating the last Adam's nature, thereby inspiring the mind of God through the reflective dictates - in order to actualize divine solutions and God-pleasing outcomes, under any given circumstance.
Although we have the Proverbial edition of Solomonic inspired instructions, full of prolific contextualised guidance, mostly patterned as fatherly advices or elderly counsels, plus other instructive versified pointers scattered all over the written Bible, the supreme model of moral instruction is known as last Adam's exemplum, a profoundly essential demeanour or character conduct rooted in divine grace which is hugely instrumental in shaping God's people through corrective and guided reminders characterized by divine authority and grounded in clearly-defined Biblical truths that serve the grand purpose of presenting a born-again Christian as becoming "mature" in the Lord through the large canopy of Christological teachings. Stay tuned for more in part 9. Shalom!
Scripture Reading - Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 15:33; 2 Timothy 4:2.
Exuberant Declaration:
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for godly teachings and profitable instructions that rebuke, correct and render sober warning, as well as train in righteousness, thereby instilling and activating the fear of God and its positive influences and results in my life and world. As I buy and embrace Christ-honouring instructions, I establish their dictates and requirements which I absorb into my inner being, in order to condition my conducts to always align with the teachings of the glorious gospel. Praise God!
