Today's article is literally reflective of my expository insight and precise enlightenment majored on the first partitioned differentiation, which is rendered as "Buy the truth and not sell it." More below!

Reference: Proverbs 23:23 New International Version (NIV)

"Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction and insight as well."

When you are well informed to buy the truth, and there are added details for more realism, such as wisdom, instruction and insight, it is denotative of the notion that they are the ensembles of divine traits in the truth. Thus, there is an exhortatory remark to buy them as well.

Now watch this:

If you are to purchase the truth, it equally implies that you must have been living with an existing knowledge which is logically valid, and most of the dictates must have developed concrete concepts in you, that are contrary to the truth you are purchasing. In other words, before you began to deal and relate with divine truth, which you bought or purchased, your mental process of thinking or cognition was not empty. You had a reasoning which must have involved using more or less of your logical consciousness to exercise your conclusive decisiveness or inference, as well as judgment in matters pertaining to earthly life - a common characteristic of ordinary humankind.

Now as a new creation, you have been strategically positioned in last Adam to purchase the truth and get it deeply rooted or firmly fixed in your inner self such that it becomes your soulish experience, as well as outward reality, and it starts by renewing your mind with it, because you are now considered as being subscribed to the mind of Christ, a dominantly-distinguished ability or mentality that can only be possessed by born again Christians or the saints. In other words, its not enough to purchase the truth; it should actively flow as part of you - by intentionally cultivating it as a deep-rooted belief, mindfully-established conception and inner self conviction. So let us examine a Pauline epistolary expression below regarding the process of mind renewal through the guiding agency of the truth:

Romans 12:2 (AMPC)

"Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]."

In the above versified statement, you'll notice the existing significance of sensory information fashioned after worldly principles, which had always been part of a first Adam's expressiveness, influencing your self-conscious executive decision making because, simply put, before you accepted the truth or came to the knowledge of truth in last Adam, you naively adapted to external, superficial customs of your immediate surroundings, as well as the negativities of plausible theories gained from ambience or environments and worldly influences.

Hence, in the days of ignorance spent as not being born again or before purchasing the truth in last Adam, most of your functionalities were deeply established as part of activities rooted in worldly desires, markedly and notably considered as a characteristic of being ordinary humankind. Therefore, having bought the truth as a new creation, it must not remain dormant or inactive, but rather it must be practically established within, and consistently applied to generate divine ideals and attitudinal transformation from your new mindset and divine language which are of God, evidently designed to shift or move you from your formerly-acquired existing knowledge, terrestrially-perceptive reasoning and worldly-realistic notions to a realm of knowledgeable practical expressions of grounded divinity which is now at work in you. Are you with me?

Beloved, Pauline epistolary expression numbered as Colossians 3:16 reads,

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom...(NKJV).

Now watch this: "word of Christ" in this versified statement is synonymous with "word" of truth, and again the ensembles of "word" of truth are wisdom, instruction and insight. This is the reason the next versified statement is rendered as a prepositional phrase, ie - "in all wisdom." Christ is the truth, and the "word of Christ" is the word of truth, fashioned in all wisdom, which also connotatively reveals divine instruction and insight. Got it?

As you enlarge your special attention given to the Word, you can gain the truth of God's Word to a higher degree than other fellows, both in your mental existence and inward being. Why must the "word" of truth dwell in you richly? It is highly or bigly instrumental in undoing worldly influences and their imbibed perceptions in our Christian walk, and in reversing their "already-present" effects.

Like newborn baby in last Adam, who is in the process of undoing the [more] logically desirable setting in your mental region with the Word, your new mode of divine reasoning may sometimes clash with your formerly-instilled worldly pattern of reasoning which is suddenly fading away, but cheer up and keep walking in the light because the clash is only indicative of the truth that real "replacement" change and lasting transformation are taking place where they matter most. Stay tuned for part 6 of this wonderful topic. Shalom!
